If you want to learn humility, ask God to make you humble ... and then hold on!  When I did this, He put all my pride before me and shown me how it was wrong.  I was shown all my "selfish" thoughts and ideals.  He made me realize that it is not about me, but about Him.  The one I still have trouble with is the "I deserve better than that" thought.

Well, all throughout my 66 years I have found that I grow in humility when I have done something really stupid.

Secondly when I attempt to do something that I find I just can't accomplish.

no matter how fast your car is you'll always run across someone faster....  or running, swimming talking or any other thing we take pride with.    No matter how great we think we are, compared to God we're nothing.

so to become humble push yourself to your limits and beyond, and when you fail, or do something really dumb, just accept it and get on with life.

Learning humility is a hard lesson and one which I kick against often. The best way to learn it is to be encouraged when your pride of self is hurt imo.

The one I answered got deleted.  But then, the question was a little off colour so, fair deal!

In my experience one of the best ways to learn humility is to play a computer game with an 8yr old, also confess to him that you remember a time before there was internet.

Didn't the internet used to be in Black & White?

No it used to be an amber color with a yellow type text. Seriously I remember! My first computer had a 20 meg hard drive!

:biggrinflip: Wow!
