These type of questions tend to pop up in my mind when I'm all alone in the house, with the TV off, and it's very quiet.  :laugh:

Anyway, here they are:

In heaven, will we still possess our male and female organs? The Bible says there will be no marriage in heaven, so then, what use will they be?

If not, how will we remain male and female? Will we all be androgynous?

If so, will we still....ummm...(to put it delicately) "use the bathroom?"

I'm aware that most, if not all answers, will be pure speculation, but I'm very interested in all opinions.

My take:

While questions like this are "fun" to speculate, they are not worth tearing each others' arms over.

But I lean on Psalm 131:

1 My heart is not proud, O LORD, my eyes are not haughty;

I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me.

2 But I have stilled and quieted my soul;

like a weaned child with its mother,

like a weaned child is my soul within me.

3 O Israel, put your hope in the LORD

both now and forevermore.

I agree that these type of questions are not worth fighting about - but are simply interesting to mull over.

This is an amazing verse to ponder:

Galatians 3:22-29 But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. There the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

LOL! :grin: Tinky, I think of those things too.I wonder will we sleep in heaven?Will we go to the bathroom in heaven?Well,I have not been there yet but these are some things to think about regarding your question.Their is nothing in the Bible that says we will lose our gender.Our gender is a very important part of us and our identity.Jesus retained His gender.

yea, i think it will be just spirits like angels in heaven, for we are all one in Jesus so no gender preference. No memories either of worldly things.

On earth we have fleshy bodies but in heaven very complete opposite and hard for us to imagine that part of it. No more pains, hurts or sufferings. It will be awesome. A home in heaven. Even all the unanswered prayers that we didnt receive here in the world, we will receive in heaven. :brightidea:

The Bible does say that we will have "real bodies" but they will be glorified.The souls in heaven right now are just spirits with no substance but one day they will get their resurrected bodies.These bodies will be perfect.Which is what I am waiting for :mgcheerful: .We will not be like the angels.We will help judge the angels.

And As For The Body

I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth.

And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God;

I myself will see him with my own eyes — I, and not another.

How my heart yearns within me! Job 19:25-27 (NIV)

I have only guesses and they are as follows;

we would be around 30

will not have human anything

the sexes as male female will be present but no sexual organs

will not need bathrooms non human body

the body will be some form of energy or light or both; not flesh

no memories of earth, or family that didnt make it.

your pets wont be there.

there will be animals

we are to judge angels so Im thinking a lot to learn about that.

Beloved, A Thought

And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Matthew 27:52-53

Or Two

For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

And hath given him authority to execute judgment also,

because he is the Son of man.

Marvel not at this:

for the hour is coming,

in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life;

and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. John 5:26-29

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
