Sunday 8-11-13 Pastor Michael sermon = Marked For Destiny-The Plight or Reward of The Overcomer Revelation 7:1-4, 9-12

One perplexity of life is how two people can be raised in the same home and turnout so different. One is in the good life and one is in skid row. One is successful and one is a failure. How can it be that someone can come from the hood and another one from the rich life up on the hill but the guy from the hood is successful and the rich kid is skid row? Why? Why is this?

There is something called Destiny that is on people’s lives. This is something that is beyond them that pushed them to their goals. There is a Destiny that God puts on them. God puts a mark on certain people - election and their destiny is already determined. God pre-destines them. If God be for us, who can be against us! If there is destiny on our life, no matter what we go thru, we always come out stronger! There is destiny on our life and God has marked us for destiny. No one, no even us, can stop us from getting what and where God wants us to be!!

In our text, the Rapture has already taken place and there is mass destruction and famine on the earth. Jesus left the earth as a meek lamb but is returning at a roaring lion! In verse 3, the servants were sealed with God’s seal. 144 thousand Jews were left to witness the gospel. They were to go around the earth and tell those left behind that the Messiah has already come. These 144 thousand Jews are marked by God. They have a destiny over their lives. It’s like when we go thru trouble and make it through. We make it through because we have a seal of destiny on our life. The devil still messes with us even though he cannot stop us!

Now if we want to fail, then trust ourselves! But if we want to rise, then trust God! We were put on this earth to glorify Him! God will always slip in and rescue us before we destroy ourselves! God didn’t let the devil destroy us because we have the mark of destiny from God on our life! The devil can’t take us out because there is a mark on us! We cannot be destroyed! Thank You Jesus! Destiny is on our life! We should have been dead, sleeping in our grave but God rescued us!! He has destiny on us, a seal on us!!

Everything we are going through is not just about us. It is for the people around us too. It’s for them to see how God takes care of us! The face that we are going thru so much is an indicator of where God wants to take us. If we were not going the right way, the devil would not be fighting us so much! Those who belong to Jesus will suffer because Jesus suffered. Jesus said we would go thru suffering. We should say thank you Jesus when we go thru stuff because Jesus trusted us that we could go through it. Praise God! Every time we go thru some devil mess, praise God. This will get the devil off our back! Praise God! The weaker we are, the stronger God’s power will be in our lives!

In our text, the tribulation witnesses didn’t come into their destiny until they got into the tribulation. It may be that the more trouble we have, the closer we get into our destiny. We learn more in times of trouble. We turn to God more in times of trouble. Some of us are chosen by God so that whatever we go thru, it works out for our good. God fore-knew, pre-destined what would happen in our lives. Even though we cut up like a fool in front of Jesus, we can only go so far. This is because God has pre-destined us and put a mark on our life. We are chosen. God has elected us for his own. We are chosen but not based on how good we are. We are chosen based on how good God is!! We are chosen based on how good Jesus is!!

AMEN

Well why do you teach the pre-trib doctrine to escape the tribulation, when the righteous have the opportunity to be such a witness in a time of much trouble. The pre-trib doctrine teaches that the church is going to be whisk away before their destiny can be achieved.

The Hundreds of millions of those believers who have gone before us, their destinies have already realized.  They missed out on the 70th week. Why do you squabble with such a few whose destines have not yet been fulfilled.  Why should some of the Bride go through the Tribulation (70th week of Daniel), when all the previous believers/Bride have missed it.  They escaped it, why not us.

The righteous must evangelize now, not seven years from now.

BTW, I do not believe that the 144,000 evangelize the world, not in Scripture.

The ones that take part in the first resurrection are called blessed and holy. The blessing is not having to go through the end time events, we all know that the blood of Jesus makes them holy. The one's alive when the end time events arrive will endure to the end or be killed, either way our destiny is to be a witness for the Lord. Our destiny isn't to be whisk away right when we are needed.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
