Guided Imagery. Is it right?

Does anyone on WorthyBoards know anything about Guided Imagery?

It is a relaxation technique used by phsycologists in hospitals, for people who have fear or phobias about operations.

I would really like people's opinions as to whether they believe this technique is O.K for Christians.

I'm aware that non-christians would probably say there is no harm in it, and Christians who know nothing about it would say it's wrong.....but that's not what I'm looking for.

So.....are there any Christians who actually know something about this technique who could give me some advice?

As nobody seems to really know anything about this subject, I'm going to write it in a slightly different way and put it on the Problem page. Hopefully, someone will be able to answer my queries.

One problem is, that you already have. In the person of our dear Sister Angel. You made a lousy first impression. He will come to you in many disguises to see if you can recognize Him, and to test your good will. So far you are failing miserably...........

I assume Tubal Cain is not a Christian, and it is obvious that Loop isn't.

I asked for comments from Christians who had experience of Guided Imagery, and no one has replied, so obviously this isn't the path to go down.

I'll leave Tubal Cain and Loop to "slug it out" between themselves while I go and start a new thread!!
