Jacqueline,

I hope this doesn't come off the wrong way.  But did your "embarassing moment" in the dream have anything to do with not being clothed?

Every once in a while when I dream, there is a part where I am not clothed during some part.  And, in fact, this is a very common occurance.  Most people will have a dream like this.

The first impression that I got when I read your dream was that there is some form of anxiety going on with you.  Whenever you are aprehensive or ureasonably fearful in a dream it could be an indication that you have some anxiety in the real world.  This is why we have those embarassing dreams where we are suddently, and for no apparent reason, stark naked in front of a crowd of people.

Not all dreams have spiritual significances, by the way.  It could be that you are simply under some stress at this time of year, or perhaps you are frustrated with something.  It could be a whole bunch of things.  Sometimes when we dream things like this it's actually our brains trying to tell us that something needs to be dealth with.  Whether this is God's way of showing us or not, is completely subjective.

I agree!

Ps 16:7-8: "I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken."

Two things, or maybe three here:

1. The LORD is our counselor

2. Even at night (while we sleep) my heart instructs me

3. Because he (God) is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Ask God to show you what he is trying to teach you through this. Sometimes he speaks to us in dreams when our conscious minds are not able to get it for some reason. God has often revealed to me areas of my life that needed surrendered to him or fears that I did not realize I had - he did this in dreams. But, just remember that God is with you, so you need not be shaken by your dream.

I had another dream last night.  This dream is really messing with me.  I can't get it out of my head.  In the dream I was invited to a party by one of my cousins.  The dream started with me and my sisters getting ready for the party.  Nothing really happened that's different from what really goes on when we're getting ready to go somewhere.  We were running all over the place trying to get ready and trying to buy the perfect gift for her.  (normal...really normal....)  Okay we get to the party and my cousin has invited his gentlman that she wants me to meet.  This is where I'm having a hard time with the dream.

The first thought that enters my mind when she tells me about this man is he will not like me when he hears that I'm a christian.  Even when we finally meet I said hi to him, but the thought that he wouldn't like me because I'm a christian kept repeating in my head over and over again to the point that after saying hi I excused my self and walked out of the room.  The dream gets really weird here and I won't go into it because from here a lot of embarrassing things happened to me and even though no one in the party knew about them the thought never left my mind.  I remember being in the bathroom looking at the door and I knew that he was out there in the next room and the thought he wouldn't like me if he knew that I'm a Christian raced through my mind.  I didn't want to walk out of that door.

As I walked into the other room where he was I woke up.  This is really messing with me.  I'm so opened with my walk with Christ.  I know what he delivered me from and I don't care who knows that I love Him.  He is my light in a world that is so dark.  He is my guild.  He is so many things to me....  I don't understand this dream.    I hope someone can help me.

God Bless You

Jacqueline

Jacqueline-

There are a lot of theories behind dreams, whywe dream what we do. Sometimes we dream about what we think about a lot. Sometimes we dream about the last thing we think of before going to bed. We dream about our wrost fears and sometimes the greatest blessings.

Freud believed that dreams were the windows to undertsanding the soul. So I wonder- do you feel like your spirtiual life has been bothering you lately? Are you trouble din your walk with Christ?

One other thing you might want to try to consider is this- what are your work and sleep habits like? Do you work too much at school or work? What are your rest patterns like? Do you have a healthy balance of work and rest?

Before I go, I would like to leave you with this comforting thought- sometimes a dream is just a dream. This dream might have no meaning. But I will tell you this. If God meant this as a message for you, He would send you a way to interpret its meaning. Gid does not give us messages that we need to decode. He tells us what He wants, what we need to know; and He isn't cryptic about it. If there is a message in this dream, He will reveal it to you. But there may not be a message in it at all.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
