"Seducing Spirits"

I am not walking in lust or believing in the doctrines of man because I speak in tongues!!! Paul said that he was thankful that he spoke in tongues more then anyone because it is a prayer to God and God alone! Do we ignore this fact. Quit twisting the truth. Why are people so easily offended by tongues. Scared of it and afraid to admit it? Is it to strange for some people to handle? Don't understand it so we must find something to prove it's wrong? God ordained it. That's enough for me!

There is a war going on in the churchs !

The mainline church is lukewarm, so they are useless!

The pentecost for the most part embraced the laughing, shaking, running, crawling, falling, and walking around drunk, with too much of the unholy spirit bartender.

There are many spirits competing for the churches, the souls of men !

Most of the open manifestations are false, but God does not run a show; His people are out there! And they Have the Language of angels, or any language God desires!

My wife can fight spiritual warfare in tongues, and often does . She is a prayer warrior and intercessor; she is not to know who she is fighting, because humans would not be able to bare to witness a spiritual battle!

I have heard her start out in english and then with emotion switch into another language until the task is over!

We don't know how God uses willing vessels, only that He requires us to fight the good fight everyday!

It was interesting; several years ago, and a few months after one of her spiritual battles; I was watching the history channel !

This man was reading some tablets that were believed to be the oldest around; and that he was the one if not the only person who could speak this language ! It was like an old Indian song in style, though it flowed, it was rhythmic ,and had word sounds that were close but a little different each time, very alien to anything I've ever heard, and very hard to produce!

Well when I heard this man on the History channel speaking this Lost language; it sent chills up my spine !

Because he was duplicating the same sounds and rhythms that my wife was using in Spiritual warfare ! I tried to listen long enough to sound them back to her when she got home, but the language makes chinese seem easy!

God knows how to talk to these forces of evil, He can use angels, or speak through obedient vessels!

I believe in singing in tongues, speaking as a prayer or intercession, with interpretation in church (ALWAYS), I don't speak in tongues yet .

1Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

"Spirit Filled" Why should we 'always share the truth?' Jesus told us there are times not to. "Holy things are not for dogs....." Why would I share that which is most precious, so others can curse it?

I used to raise guinea pigs. Now they are cute and lovable, but dumb! You could scatter rubies on the floor of their cage, and they would trample over the rubies to get to a feeding tray full of wilted lettuce.

It just isn't worth it..... A bunch of folks will get on here and speak blasphemously ("harm averment" in the Greek text) against the work of the Holy Spirit, and I'd just as soon not help them get themselves in trouble. You don't want to learn anything. You just want to tell people why you don't believe. Do you see any possible basis for amicable discussion? I don't.

I will even engage in discussion which are most unamicable if there is anything to be learned by either side, for understanding is much more important than agreement, but for 30 years I have listened to the 'anti-tongues' stupidity, and for 30 years have been amazed that such shallow arguments sway some people. I have heard nothing new for 30 years, and frankly won't discuss it further with those who simply want to blaspheme against the work of God.

I probably shouldn't have posted this. I'm bowing out now, while I still feel friendly!

Is it possible, that today, many have been seduced by the teachings of man?

Now, i am referring to the professing church.

Those among us, who scream at the top of their lungs, that "Tongues", as practiced in the modern day pentecostal church, are the sign of being baptised in the Holy Spirit.

Is it possible, most likely, that these professing christians, have indeed been "Seduced" by the teachings of man....to satisfy his 'Carnal' desires?

Please share your thoughts, on "tongues" as practiced today.

Equally as important to what is taught is what is learned. I was taught many good things. Unfortunately I learned bad things.

Regarding tongues and spritual gifts . . . does it really matter? If I exercise the gifts normally classified as "charismatic" how is anybody going to argue with my experience? And conversly, if I disagree with the gifts associated with charasmatics how can I argue against somebody's personally experience. Will it be said that the experience wasn't real or that it was prompted by satan or demons?

In either case I don't see how an argument can be put forth with out being rejected. There is no answer to your question. There can be no agreement. The premis of your question is that individuals can or will be persuaded that their personal experiences were not real or not of god. I don't know of anybody that will change their mind or agree with you given these criteria.

The topic of tongues is an important one, a biblical one !

It's a good question that I have asked at many times in many ways, and as you have offended many, because there is not right answer !

The devil has flooded the church with so many false signs and lying wonders, it's like the old shell game, but there is a thousand shells !

Even if you find what appears to be the real deal, sometimes against all your hopes and desires, you must test the spirits!

I had been sceptical of tongues, and even more after my wife came home from a Pentecostal church, with the shaking, and with an Indian language that was real spooky!

The Lord gave me the recognition that it was a spirit of shamanism, and it was confirmed, and cast out, and the shaking stopped! What interpretation we got from this thing was un-biblical and it was sent through the Pensicola revival to our area!

know she has the true Spirit that lines up with the word; even personal prophecy has to be biblical teaching, or warning, or encouragement !

Not the (oh how I'm going to bless you if you do this, or your so wonderful, or I saw what you did), the counterfeit spirits are so good at flattery , and telling you things you know, so they can get you to do things !

The truth is that the more you know God the more you will know what flows from Him; so we must be good bereans and test everything until we come into that maturity of which even Paul said was still not perfected in Him; but he wrote most of the N.T.!

So all that Paul wrote was God writing through him; he knew God that well; yet at times he would say his own opinion, saying so in the letter !

So you see the Lord was in control to keep the word perfect; so that we could test all things by it .

Also I believe that since there are so few places for biblical church, were each person ministers according, and led by the Spirit with gifts, that the gifts must come back these last days to restore what was lost!

Not only that but I believe that the Lord will not just leave us with the false, but increase the battle with His true gifts with each advance of the enemy!

Though I believe that the bible clearly states in the end times it will once again be very tough on the true Christian !

That the anti-christ will wear out the saints, and by some means and ways overcome them for a short time, not defeating but causing His own to once again depend on Him for everything !

Let me tell you that when an evil Spirit comes against one who is totally living a supernatural life in Christ, depending each day for food, and where and what to do; God is in control of that person and nothing can prevent God's will !!

as you speak on tongues, im not from a pentecostal backgroundi am from an anglican background the church of england some would say that tongues and all the other signs that followed the disciples died with them but the bible doesnt say that what it says is that there will come a time when all these will stop that time will be when jesus returns and the devil and his demons have been dealt with once for all and punished for all eternity .

if we say that the gifts of the spirit have gone then we must say as well that the holy spirit has stopped working in peoples lives bringing them into what the bible say the new birth.

we are told in the bible to test everything that we see because not everything is from GOD and he wants us to learn the differance between himself and the devil.

lets not dismiss something because of our ignorance,

tyongues is only part of the equation the most important question is have you got a personal relationship with jesus christ, is he your lord and king ,seek ye first the kingdom of GOD and all these will be added unto you.

seek GODS rule in your life and GOD will reveal al to you.

i remember one service that we were having and during the service i got up with permission of the pastor and spoke out in tongues, not knowing why i should do it because i have never done it since an interpretation was given and after the service a couple came upto me and said they were speaking on this subject on tongues and do they exist or not and his mom who was elderly said they didnt exist but after i got up and spoke she said now i know they exist and gave her life to christ. that is one sign does the gift give glory to GOD if it does then yes i would asy they exist do they point to jesus yes then they are from gGOD if they dont then no i would say test them.
