1 in 7 NM Obamacare Navigators are in the FBI Criminal Database

One in seven Obamacare Navigators in New Mexico have shown up in the FBI's National Crime Information Center database.

 

These are the people who are handling folks' SSN, medical information credit card info.   This only adds to the egregious lack of security that already plagues the Obamacare website, which is more vulnerable to hackers now  than it was on Oct. 1, 2013

     Well,I am not really surprised at all,I did not read the entire article but these 38 people ,may I ask,were hired by who?We already know this website for "who knows what reason"is not even secured which is a disaster in itself........set up to fail from the get go-IMO

They are state government employees, evidently.   It has already been reported as far back as November that these navigators including the ones who are federal employees, are not vetted and could have criminal backgrounds.

 

The adminstration has been fighting an attempt by congress to force them to inform US citizens when their information when their personal information has been compromised by hackers.

They are state government employees, evidently.   It has already been reported as far back as November that these navigators including the ones who are federal employees, are not vetted and could have criminal backgrounds.

If they are state employees, wouldn't it be incumbent on the state to do those criminal background checks?

Sounds like to me the state is asleep at the wheel.

The Executive branch does not investigate the background of federal employes.  That is accomplished by the Office of Personnel Management.  They have an incredible backlog due to the fact even the lowest entry level job now requires a full background check, an incredible waste of money. I had applied and been conditionally accepted for a position with a federal government agency but could not afford to wait a few months for my check to come back, as unlike other positions I could not start till cleared due to the data I would have been analyzing.  It is this backlog that allows people like Snowden to get past the system, they have to focus on quantity instead of quality background checks.  Most of this is due to the patriot act and needs to be changed.

...leads me to believe it was someone other then the Obama admins responsibility.
