I agree that mortality should not be legislated. So, what is your view on marijuana laws or prostitution being illegal?

Mortality is addressed. Suicide is illegal. Murder is illegal. Manslaughter is illegal.

WW...I agree 100% about what should be legislated, if is not harmful to others it should not be illegal. And if there is some questions about whether it is harmful, we should err on the side of personal freedom.

I just saw an article the other day in the news that said auto crashes have increased due to legalized pot use in those states that legalized it. That certainly is harmful.

Prostitution cannot remotely be said to be unharmful to others.

Minus any harm based on a religious point of view what harm comes from well regulated prostitution?

The harm done by prostitution exists in ways regulation cannot change.  Regulating prostitution doesn't remove the degrading effect it has when women are objectified as sexual objects.

In fact the reason prostiution is legal in some countries stems from the belief that prostitution is victimless.  Even where it is legal the abuse of prostitutes is often hidden.  Regulating prostitution doesn't change anything about how immoral it is and that immorality extends beyond the fact that it is sexually immoral.

The text of the bill fairly vague, applying to far more than wedding cakes. it'll probably get struck down in the first court case.

That's what happens when you pass laws trying to make it easier to discriminate against others.

You have got to be kidding!

The risk of spreading venereal diseases is one. Condoms don't protect against AIDS nor the virus that causes cervical cancer.

Most human trafficking today is about prostitution.

Pimps are known to be cruel "employers".

Prostitution is emotionally damaging to the women.

Many marriages are ruined on account of prostitution.

Isn't that enough?? For the pleasure of the flesh, you are willing to give up the walking with God???

Just out of curiosity, what is your opinion about punishing "hate crimes"? Or spanking laws?

What about Christians who are discriminated against when folks try to force them out of business because they will not make a wedding cake for a gay wedding? That has happened to several bakers already.

What sort of a message is being sent to non-believers discriminate against people that are different than them?   I think that private businesses should be able to do this legally, but morally I think it is very wrong.

WWJD?

Do you think he would approve of this?

Jesus was a Jewish rabbi who lived under Torah in a culture of people submitted to Torah. An unrepented homosexual or lesbian wouldn't have even dared to make a peep about it.

Jesus' words to the prostitutes were, "Go and sin no more." Would His words to a homosexual or lesbian be any different?
