Guest shiloh357
Another problem I have with the law, it only allows "religious" people to legally discriminate. If you are going to codify discrimination in to the state law books do not limit it just to religion That's because it's freedom of religion that is at stake. The law simply allows businesses that are owned by Christians to opt out of providing any service to a gay couple if that service requires the business to support a lifestyle that violates their religious convictions. The law does not sanction or allow for Christian businessowners to place a wholesale ban on gays from their places of business. So this is not about discrimination. It does not allow businesses, Christian or not, to say "no gays allowed." This is not about denying someone service on the grounds that they are gay. It is about having the right to opt out of providing a service that would force the business to attach their name to an activity that violates their religious conscience and convictions. In principle, it would be the same if a Christian business owner, such a the couple who owned the bakery were approached by a satanist and asked to design a cake that glorifed or celebrated some aspect of satanism. The photographer was wrongly convicted of discrimination because she would not take photos at a gay wedding. She told the couple that she would take their photos at her studio, but she would not participate in a gay wedding. So the accusation of discrimination is simply not true. Guest shiloh357
Experts are saying no long term economic damage. http://ktar.com/22/1705640/Expert-SB-1062-wont-derail-Arizonas-economic-recovery If the NFL pulls the Superbowl from AZ, it won't hurt AZ. The liberals are hoping it would, but AZ doesn't host the Superbowl every year. They don't base their enconomic well-being on hosting the Superbowl. So it is not going to suddenly throw AZ's economy into a tail spin. The LGBT community doesn't represent mainstream America and they simply don't have the clout. The NFL, like A&E is prepared to take a knee-jerk reaction to a little noise generated by this insignificant part of our country. Like A & E, the NFL will learn that when mainstream America speaks they need to listen. The LGBT community failed to get Duck Dynasty banned from TV and they will fail at this as well. A loss of 350 million is nothing to sneeze at AZ isn't broke and this is not going to send AZ into the poor house. You can try to hype it up all you want, but the Superbowl cannot do any signficant long term damage to any state, not even AZ.

A loss of 350 million is nothing to sneeze at At the time we got a super bowl in az, it was shown that it had zero extra impact on our economy. It instead contributed merely to the loss of revenue that happened because our usual winter tourists were not able to book rooms because they were being used for the super bowl. So having that taken away from us wont hurt us.

Fascism has a voracious appetite. Rule of law to Rule of man I am shocked that so many people will find any excuse they can to justify these changes in our society. When the State is given absolute power, it wields absolute power over everyone. Once achieved, the government no longer needs cheerleaders, propagandists, or the useful idiots that gave it that power. It has no loyalty, and no obligation to reward anyone. March on fellow travellers, the road ends for all of us. I choose to live in freedom.

There is no more need to share your opinion for the sake of sharing your opinion. And by now we should realize that everyone is dead-set in their beliefs, and no one is going to convince anyone that their opinions or beliefs are in error. Is there any point in continuing going around in the same circles over and over again?
