proper belief in God

Wow, do you listen to yourself?

No I deny myself and follow after God-> for His Way 'IS' clearly written down

and in this He requires me to die to myself and re-establish my life In His Will

by doing what He clearly Says in His Word. It is a new life as it does not match

up to what I lived when I was only first born of sin!

Rom 12:2-3

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the

renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and

acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 3 For I say, through the grace

given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of

himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly,

according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

this faith we are measure out is directly proportional to our investment of ourselves

into His Word as faith come by the Word as so said here

Rom 10:17

17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

NKJV

Seeing how God only speaks truth I set down and ask The Lord to increase my faith in

Him guess what He Says what I must do in order to accomplish my prayer request of Him?

2 Tim 2:15

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth

not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

KJV

Steven - I believe you are a good person, but no matter what you believe, you can't define "proper belief in God".  I'm sure you have railed against religions that have espoused this.

Your contention is not with me but The Word of God! For the line of thought is thus:

Because there 'IS' only One God, One Word, One doctrine it is left for the heart of man

to abandon his old self, his old ways, his old thinking and turn to God the totality of

need unto God to know His Truth Written down perfectly in His Word... we carry nothing

of ourselves to this place and wait upon God to reveal to us The Teaching or Doctrine of

His Word... God expects us to do so! However it can only be accomplished by yielding all

of what we are to His Word and the faith that results in this obedience! Sure it is hard

sure it is difficult The Lord Jesus said it would be

Matt 7:13-15

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way,

that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because

strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few

there be that find it. 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's

clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

KJV

reliance becomes a full out dependence upon God after we have sought Him with

Jer 29:11-13

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of

peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall ye call upon me,

and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek

me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

KJV

As God promises His Love and desire of peace for you (as all peoples)it should not be difficult

to relinquish your whole being to search for Him in expectation of only One Truth for He 'IS'

only One God! There are not multiple pathways but only one Through The Lord Jesus!

John 14:6

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto

the Father, but by me.

KJV

Again, once you start defining belief for someone else it becomes religion not a relationship.  I will pray for you.

Jerry,

Thank for the thought but how do you know how and what to pray for?

How can you go wrong if you pray to God that His will will be done in their life?

God's Will is that no one perishes but won't there be those who perish?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
