I admit physics is not my strong suit.  But since this thread appears under the heading "Faith and Science" I assumed the current issue touched on a least some matter of faith.  Yet all the discussions seem to be entirely scientific.

 

Is Enoch's point that the "Circuit" of the sun mentioned in the Psalm is not about the appearance of the sun's movement through the sky?

No.  It's my point that The Sun travels through and on Circuits, specifically Birkeland Currents and is Electrical rather than a Thermo-Nuclear Bomb as The Standard Model Postulates.

That will take me quite a while and maybe a few high school text books   In the meantime, can you give me the short version of why the higher echelons (rulers) are feeding the masses with the present model--that is, how does it undermine God's gospel?  The present model might be wrong; but how is it insidious?

Yes Briefly, This is just the Tip of the IceBerg.  It all "evolves" around the Idea that Gravity rules the Universe which has the Big Bang @ it's core.  The Big Bang "Secular" (The same one that Christians try to assimilate into the Bible), along with other Astrophysical Phenomenon, is the (BY FAR) the Largest Modus Operandi used to explain away GOD.

 

I'm currently working on 2 Presentations that systematically tear all that down and Expose it for what it really is.....conjured fairytale in TOTO.

I dont see anything in Ps 2 that speaks of secret, I always read it as the day to day operations of a governments in our world.  Where do you get the in secret part from.  The "in secret" part is vital for a Conspiracy Theory.

I think I have figured out 1 Reason why I'm here.....it's to learn Patience.   One of My BIG Failings/Shortcomings is the Lack of Patience.

Yes, in so far as I understand where you are coming from.

 

However, I do not see any thing in the Big Bang that undermines Scripture--unless this is going back to the interpretation of Genesis.  Is that the case?

Yes. Other than: No explosion, The Sun coming before the Earth, Light before Water, all the Planets Magically forming on their Own et al; they're pretty much the same.

well I obviously do not subscribe to the 6day reading of Genesis.  I have posted my reasons for thinking Genesis 1 and 2 are not chronologically consistent (See Genesis: obvious reading?).  It is based on exegesis (Hebrew grammar and the logic behind the narrative), not science.  So there is really no tension between Genesis and the claims of scientists.

I would have to ask what you mean by "the theory of evolution?"  IF by that you mean "a theory that denies the imago dei of man, or creation itself" then of course not.  If by Evolution you mean the process by which God orchestrated the emergence of species, including man, then sure.  I have no qualms with evolution.  If it's true, then interesting.  If not, then okay.  Genesis as it should be read says nothing either for or against it.  Genesis declares that God created the world.  It says that man is made in His image and therefore bears responsibilities that mirror the works of God in creation.  It defines our relationship to each other and to God.  It's intention was theological, not chronological.  

 

Secondly, the rationale I gave in the post on "Genesis" is different from the others; so if you have not read it then you need to before dismissing it. If you have read it, then you need to refute it.  I am still waiting to hear any rebuttals.  Shiloh is surprisingly silent.  IF you can offer refutations I would love (sincerely, this is about seeking truth, not winning an argument) to hear them: you would have to know a little Hebrew, since the question for me has to do entirely with the genre of the text and not anything to do with the 2nd Law of thermodynamics or whatever.

I mean the "Theory of evolution", there's not multiple theories....one for every palate.  Because if there's not "one" theory.... there's not any.

I am glad I can be of service.  Really not trying to be a pain, but sometimes I am just amazed at what people get out of scripture.  I have read that passage multiple times and never once did it occur to me it was speaking of conspiracy theories. Is this a determination you came to on your own or was it something someone mentioned and you said "oh yea"?

 

As for the OP, give me a few months and I will get back to you.  I have started to do some research on the subject of ions picking up speed.  On the surface the answer seemed simple, the further they were from the gravity of the sun the quicker they went.  I will find out if that holds water or not over the next few weeks.
