You are loved by God and your fellow Christians.  May you experience that on a personal level.

God is not shocked by your past, nor is He incapable of forgiving you your past.  Don't forget that we have a spiritual enemy who will throw things in your face every chance he gets.  "You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world." I John 4:4

The thoughts of the things iv'e done bring me to the point of anxiety attacks and crying spells, and the depression creeps in .sometimes I cant help but feel as if iv'e worn out gods grace and that im such a bad person i cant be forgiven.

Does anyone have any advice or insight to how i can get over my past. Am i Forgiven ? Are my sins washed away like the bible states?

please dont be judgmental towards my past actions i just want to be a better person

Hi Recon, welcome to Worthy

One of the coolest things about salvation is that it is something that was established by God beforehand. It is not something that we need to work at to achieve. Salvation is a free gift, extended towards those who believe and receive Jesus as Lord and savior, by faith. You just need to work on your faith level right now. The bible says that faith comes from hearing, and hearing the word of God. Romans 10:17

Bless you! :)

Receiving Jesus is a beginning of a new life, not only something you get and keep as you are until the day you move on to the next life with Him in Heaven. By which I mean, many people after getting saved do not realize the door has now been opened to walk through to God's supernatural domain. A Christian life can never be a still stand. Walk with Him. Never hesitate to turn to Him with what is important to you, no matter what it is. He is your Father, He will listen AND respond. How exactly He will do it, is completely guided by His wisdom.

Our faith needs to be nourished and strengthened, on a daily basis. It's not a done deal by salvation, which true is the basis, and the center, but needs to be built on. And to be built on accordingly to God's Word. Because you are a new creation, not only in God's image but Christ's image as well.

Let God's love completely heal you, there's no end to it, it is truly unconditional, infinite and eternal. Jesus did all that He did for YOU. It is forgiven.

DO NOT let the father of lies convince you otherwise, because that's what satan tries to do.

What has greatly helped me, was when I forbade satan in Jesus' name to use the 1st person when oppressing me, which means thoughts like 'I' am a terrible person' etc. That made it easier to notice when something tries to influence me. Because as Christians we true are well covered by Jesus' blood, but also targeted as we are a threat to the demonic. For those parts in our lives that are not in alignment with God's Will, such as certain emotions, desires etc. we can be tempted, yet not by God as says the Bible.

Sincerity is of great help, and God will be able to work with someone who is deeply devoted to Him.

And always remember, the one who has been much forgiven, will appreciate and is able to love Him in a different way because the forgiveness is something so much needed. Of course we all need it, but anyone who has seen the rough side of life surely knows exactly why Jesus is called the Savior.

Lastly, dear reconsiled18602, whatever God will do in your life from now on, it will echo in the halls of eternity in His glory forever. The good shepherd went to seek that one lost lamb and found it. Welcome home. O Father, show this one how much You love your children. The love of God is the most powerful thing that ever has been. And you have it. Nothing you do can increase it, and nothing you do can decrease it. It is absolute. Enjoy, the cross has paid your bail. May you be most blessed all days of your life.

In Jesus' holy name. AMEN.

Fear of God takes away your fear of Man.  You have to learn to fear God by learning to joyfully endure trials and growing in faith and patience.  Trust in God isn't easy at first.  It is a process, and Rome wasn't built in a day, but he is there.

Know that God is a Man of War, and Men of War are incredibly fit and battle ready. (Exodus 15:3)  Regular exercise helps release stress and helps with depression.  Through strenuous exercise you can learn to joyfully endure trials at your own pace.  When I imagine God, I don't picture an over weight slob.  David was God's favorite son other then Jesus.  What would David do?

God is also Love.  Knowing real Love heals depression.  There is a song by the Proclaimers called "I would Walk 500 miles."  That is what Love looks like.  That is how God loves you. Only fools and Jesus would walk 500 miles for a prostitute.  Feminism has warped us and made us wicked.  Feminism = Asherah.  Husbands were made to rule over their wives.  It is hard to rule over a woman who has become "one flesh" with the entire flock and gets passed around like a tradable concubine.  Virgins mold themselves to men.

And now you know.

King David committed adultery; then ordered the woman’s husband on a suicide mission in an attempt to cover his crime. The Apostle Paul (prior to his conversion) viciously persecuted Christians; casting votes to have them murdered (Acts 26:10). The Apostle Peter denied Christ not once, but three times. The blood of Christ is more than worthy to account for any transgression.

As a Christian, you have made a decision to trust God above all others; including self. The Apostle Paul said “Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead” (2 Corinthians 1:9). So we cannot trust how we feel because our feelings are untrustworthy. But God is eternally faithful.

You have the power to control what you think about. We don’t always have the power to control what comes into our mind, but we absolutely have the power to control what stays there. When you find yourself meditating on the past, catch yourself and remind yourself that you have decided to trust in the Creator of the universe Who has cleansed and forgiven you. So you don’t have to waste any more time thinking and worrying about the past. The blood of Christ is sufficient. The Lord has promised; “My grace is sufficient for you” (2 Corinthians 12:9). This self-correction may take some practice.

Self-condemnation is our way of trying to pay for our own sin. But Jesus has already paid a very high price to free us from that condemnation. Who are we to deny the power of that sacrifice? Who are we to imply that the sacrifice is insufficient – such that we have to pay some of the price ourselves? Our sin is against God, and God says we are forgiven. So who are we to question His mercy?

As a Christian, you have access to liberty;

17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

(2 Corinthians 3:17)

and you have access to rest;

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11:28-29)

16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)

NOTE: “boldly” – not timidly, as if unworthy (for Christ has made us worthy).

NOTE: when we need “mercy”, “grace” and “help” – not just when we are feeling ‘righteous’.

When you surrendered ownership of your life to Christ you ceased to be that person.

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Now that “old things have passed away” and “become new”, you are free not to dwell on the past. You are free from the curse and condemnation of your past. You are free to move forward in God.

“3 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” (Colossians 3:1-3)

13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philipians 3:13-14)

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,”

(2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
