Babies and animals go to heaven.  I'm pretty sure the bible says they are protected, and to not hurt them, or you would be better to put a, a, well, something large around your neck and cast yourself into the sea.  My bible reading needs some refreshing.

FresnoJoe?  Was it a millstone, or something like that?

Much Love

Claiming baptism to be a condition of salvation implies that the sacrifice of Christ is insufficient to account for sin.

Baptism doesn't save anyone from the cradle to the grave as Tristen said it's the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross as he was the sacrifice given for the atonement of our sins.  It's believing, confessing and calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that saves us.  Believing in our hearts that Jesus died, was buried and was raised from the dead on the third day.   And as Shiloh said baptism is for believers.  Baptism is an outward sign (symbolism) of a believer dying out to their old sinful nature (read Romans 6 as it speaks concerning the baptism unto death with Christ) as the old person we use to be is crucified or put to death being made a new creature in Christ.  Therefore we are raised to newness of life as we are made alive in Christ resurrection.

Infant baptism is not found taught in the Word of God.

There is scripture as Willimina brought out found in 1 Corinthians 7:14  that is giving comfort to those who have gotten married as unbelievers and then one of them became a believer and yet their spouse still remain an unbeliever in the marriage.  The Lord in that scripture is giving the believeing spouse comfort concerning their children.  Who perhaps have had their children die since they have become a believer and they want to know if they have the hope of seeing them again.

Just like in Thessalonians the believers inquired of Paul about their loved ones who had died in the Lord they wanted to know would they see them again in the resurrection and Apostle Paul said for us to comfort one another with these words,  "that when the Lord appears in the air with the voice of the arch angel and the trump of God that those who have died in the Lord would rise from the dead first.  Then the believers who are alive and remain on earth at that time would join with their loved ones in the air with the Lord and so shall they ever be with the Lord.

I tend to believe that this comfort is being given to the believing spouse concerning their children in that passage of scripture who have died since they became a believer.  Or the comfort could have been given only concerning the children who would be born within the marriage while their spouse remained an unbeliever or both.  But there was a reason behind why apostle Paul said what he said to the believing spouse concerning their kids.   That comfort given in either situation to the believing spouse was "that their children are holy and clean or sanctified because they themselves was now clean in the Lord having their sins washed away.  The saints whose spouses remained unsaved had this hope and comfort given to them of seeing thier children again in heaven if they died.

Children weather born unto unbelievers or believers are and will be under their parents covering (authority) until a certain time comes in their childrens lives.  When they no longer will be up under their parents authority and they will become accountable for their own lives and actions and the children will take with them what they recieved as a child into adulthood wheather good or bad.

Sadly, this is not a doctrine that is widely taught in the church of today.  I really believe and think If that doctrine and insight that is found in 1 Corinthians 7 concerning children were widely taught by and in the church.  Then even the unbelievers having this knowledge would out of love and concern for their childrens eternal destiny would rethink about the way they are living in front of their children and would turn to the Lord so as not to lead their own children astray in life.  So that if death should come take them or their children they would have this hope and comfort of seeing and being reunited with one another again.

It is taught in the scripture for the saints in Ephesians 6:4 to bring up their children in the nuture and admonition of the Lord.  In the book of Proverbs 22:6 it gives wisdom from God concerning raising their children which is too, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.  Scripture also teaches the children in Ephesians 6:1 to obey their parents in the Lord: for this is right.

But as far as the OP is concerned infant baptism is not a biblical doctrine and it will not save the child.

And A Total Lack Of Faith In His Word

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
