What version are you using?

And have you seen the verses surrounding what you have posted? You know, keeping things in context?

1. Phillipians 2:9 said, The Almighty already gave Him a name...man cannot give Him a name...

Philippians 2:9-11 (KJV)

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

2. Acts 4:12 said, theres no salvation in any other names, except the one name that the Most High gave...Once man gives a name, there is no longer salvation in man's name.

Acts 4:10-12 (KJV)

10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

3. Psalms 86:11 said, Learn the truth that you may fear His name in the truth...Those who reject the true name, refuse to learn the truth, and rather call a false name given by man, instead of calling the true name given by the Yehowah in Hebrew...

Psalm 86:11 (KJV)

Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

Where do you see this "true name" stuff in this verse? :taped:

BTW, in Hebrew, they often say Ha'shem, translated in English "the Name" to refer to the Lord.

Example: where in English we would say, "Blessed be the name of the Lord!" in Hebrew they say, "Baruch Ha'Shem!" which literally translates to, "Blessed be the Name!" It is understood that they mean the Lord.

Clearly, you are reading into the word of God something that is not there.

I reckon its time to get a life.

You keep inserting the word 'true' when it comes to the 'name of the L-rd'.

For example...

1 John 3

23And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son...

It's His commandment that we must believe on the true name of His Son...

In the JFB commentary he writes..

"on the name of his Son"--on all that is revealed in the Gospel concerning Him, and on Himself in respect to His person, offices, and atoning work.

The emphasis is NOT on the actual verbalization, visualization or pronounciation of the NAME... the whole thrust is on who Yeshua/Jesus is and what He has done...by inserting the word 'true' into the equation...ie 'true name' you take away the intent of Scripture and try to introduce an idea/doctrine that is incorrect and ultimately divisive.

You end on this note...

I have told you the knowledge of the truth...It's up to you, wether you will support man's false lying made up name...Or will you abide in the truth and know the truth, that you may be free from ignorance and sin, whereas lying against the truth is a sin?

Well you have done your duty and let us have your version of what you consider an important issue...personally I find it misguided, misleading and a misrepresentation of the Gospel and will take my chances with the One who judges Righteously.

Okay, since the thread I started has gone way off the topic of impure animals/creatures and I can't get anyone to help me...I'll start a NEW thread...

I give up.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

:) didn't we cover that already? It's not good for you. Eat if you want though.

"all things are permissable but not all things edify..."

Nobody addressed the scriptures concerning the truth about His true name,

oh but we did! You don't have to agree but don't act like your question wasn't thoroughly answered.

whereas the scriptures told us to tell the truth and not lie about His name..

huh? What verse do you think tells us that?

.It also says that He was given a name already, but you seem not to choose the name that was given to man...Why do you support the name that man gave and not honor the name that Yahh already had given?

If my friend doesn't mind me calling him "John" when his actual name is Juan then who are you to say it is wrong?

A name is only a representation of a person just like musical notes on a page are only a representation of music and the not the actual music itself. Just as those musical notes must be played before it is actually experienced as music, having a proper spelling and and pronunciation of someone's name is not the same thing as knowing them.

His earthly name speaks something of His character. As you are aware, "Yeshua" is an actual hebrew word which translated into English means SALVATION (in the present tense). The name He has written on His leg (Revelation) is a name that no man knows...and it will reveal something new to us about His character...but His name is not Him. It is a verbal sound which represents Him, ya know?

Admittely, the name "Jesus" has no meaning because it is an attempt at finding an English equivalent of the Greek translation of the hebrew word "yeshua" but the PERSON whose character is communicated by whatever language you choose to translate from is the same ben David ben Elohim.

I consider you a dear friend and wouldn't want to offend you over this...but it really does smack of straining gnats, imo.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
