The Spirit of truth is Christ's because the Word is truth and he claimed to be the truth.

Jesus told his disciples that he will not leave them comfortless and will send the comforter. He stated in a little while the world will not see me, yet you (disciples) will see me for I will manifest myself onto you and make my abode with you. Now Jesus spoke these words in the context of the giving of the Holy Ghost at Pentecost.

That is why Jesus would say you in me and I in you in spiritual marriage of oneness between the bridegroom and the spiritual bride. The glorified risen Lord said I stand at the door and knock and if any man hears my voice and opens, I will come into him and SUP with him.

Now the Spirit of truth is Christ in communion with the believers. The door spoken of above is the heart and the Christ enters our hearts as the Holy Ghost to comfort us and to led us to all truth.

The Spirit of truth is Christ manifesting himself onto the believer.

Romans 8:9

You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.

The Word is alive in the hearts of the believer and he revealed himself to man as the Jesus of Nazareth.

hi

so what does it do to those that are born of the spirit ? for the wind is not the spirit , but it is a explanation of how the spirit is given to those that receive it ,right ?

Hi terrarica,

as you stated earlier, no, i didnt quite understand your intent on that other post, I'm glad that you receive the scripture as truth.

We receive the Spirit when we are baptized, then we will be born of water and of the Spirit -

When Christ was baptized by John, a dove descended unto Him - this was the physical manifestation of what was happening in the Spirit.

-Mt 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Jhn 3:5 KJV - 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Greetings, Hindsfeet, I must totally disagree, we do not receive the Spirit when we are baptized, we are baptized because we have received the Spirit. Also, the water in that verse in John 3:5 is not wet, the water is the word of God, can I get a witness from anybody else.

Hi Hgmg,

I'm not here to debat/argue about it,to each his own.

It appears that the poster does not believe in the trinity and wants to know more about the HS.

Lets not swat at gnats lest we scare someone away.

hi

no, i do not believe in the trinity ; to much opinions into the explanation of it ;

but coming back to Mt 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,

baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

tell me ; i know the name of the father and the son ;BUT CAN YOU GIVE ME THE NAME OF THE HOLY SPIRIT ?

As God and Jesus both have many names ie. God, Father, Abba, Jehovah, etc and Jesus also; Messiah, Christ, the Branch, the Word of God,etc.,  so also does the Holy Spirit;

Spirit of Truth

Counsellor

Comforter

Spirit of the living God

Oil of Gladness

Holy Ghost

and many, many, others.

You/we also may have many names;

father,son, mother,daughter, sister,brother, nephew, cousin, coworker, employee,boss, Friend, etc.

I cant answer your second question scripturally - however, i imagine that its because all the written accounts of baptism happened Prior to Pentecost/the receiving of the Holy Spirit, this is why there would be no account of it.

Hope this helps.

Help

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12

LORD~!

But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Holy Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future]. He will honor and glorify Me, because He will take of (receive, draw upon) what is Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you. John16:13-14 (AMP)

what we think are names are really not true names but trade tickets as you want to see it like Jesus is the Messiah but "Messiah" is not his name ,for Jesus is his name right (so Messiah is like a trade ticket right ?)

so the holy spirit of God has also trade tickets ;for he comforts /counselles /he also is the spirit of truth ,but no one as ever found a name  in scriptures for it right why ?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
