THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH WORKERS IN THE FIELD

DON'T IGNORE THE SHEEP THAT ARE HELPLESS AND HARASSED.

Matthew 9 : 37 Then he said to his disciples. "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

I had wondered why I don't see many Christians on the street giving out tracts that encourage people to study the Bible. There are people telling others to "Come to my church", but are you telling them to study the Bible on their own. Bible study in many churches don't cover the entire bible. Just ask someone if they know what Deuteronomy 14: 22 , Mark 16:17 or 1 John 3: 8 says , most will not know and will have to look it up in the bible. Psalms 1 meditate day and night on the Word of God. There are Christians telling people they meet about the Lord and that's a good thing. But , are they telling them to study the bible? Are they telling them about Psalms 1 ?

I think that if every Christian gave out tracts that encourage studying the bible. There would be more people coming to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

You could have a stamp made at any stationary store that reads study the King James bible and stamp every tract. You can get free tracts online from Fellowship Tract League or some others.

YOU CAN PASS TRACTS OUT IN ADDITION TO WHAT YOU DO FOR THE LORD . I AM NOT TRYING TO TELL YOU TO REPLACE WHAT YOU DO FOR HIM.

Put the tracts on windshields of cars, inside bills, inside pockets of clothes in the Mall ( that's a new one !! ) , stand on a main street corner in your neighborhood to give out tracts for an hour once a week.

I am writing my own tracts on Deliverance. I go to my local printer who makes the tract and makes copies for me.

A girl named Nancy , who was illegally parked , called to thank me for the tract I left on her windshield. When she saw the tract on her car she was glad it was a tract about deliverance instead of a ticket . The Deliverance Tract is black print on white paper. I never thought about it until Nancy told me that it looks like a traffic ticket.

Also she stopped doing her yoga (from Hinduism) because she read it in the tract.

I did not write my Deliverance Tract on white paper to trick people into thinking that is was a traffic ticket. Nancy called me up to tell me she was glad it wasn't . She was so grateful to God. Many others like Nancy will be happy you gave them a tract also. Some people don't have time to stop and talk to you about the Word Of God because they are in a hurry to go somewhere. They might be in a bad mood and it may cheer them up.

If you give people a tract that doesn't encourage bible study they might learn bible study in a church of error such as the Jehovah Witness, Catholic , Assembly of God and some others.

So what do you say ?

Helena

I preach without using tracts.

I think that whether fewer people are handing out tracts or not, is not really an indication of how many believers are preaching the gospel. Tracts to me are too impersonal. But no offense intended to anyone who uses them though.

Deliverance -

God uses many ways to get His Word across to people. Some preach, some teach, some pass out tracts. Some just plain live their lives.

I have been passing out and sending out salvation tracts for over 30 years. I know of people that have been saved through reading a tract, and many people that tracts have helped them.

Over 30 years Deliverance - and you?

God uses us all, as we let Him use us. We all have different abilities, talents, etc.

Remember, even once a donkey was used to speak! :emot-hug: And oh yes, these boards right here are being used to witness for HIM, and the chat room also.

God is using you in however YOU witness for HIM. Just remember, Deliverance, we all are different and all witness differently. :emot-hug:

Ok, tracts are a good tool to spread the message. One of the many ways we can help to reach the lost.

Is this the entire post, or is there more?

THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH WORKERS IN THE FIELD

Bless you Helena.

In essence, I agree with your point and was just commenting to my wife this past weekend that if everyone in our church of 1500 got out and evangelized for the Lord, our entire community of 15,000 would be reached...or at least see God's LOVE in action. Where I may differ though is in the context of what you wrote. It's not that there are not enough workers in the field. I mean, God doesn't need workers. The issue is that there are not enough of us who have discovered the JOY of serving HIM by preaching the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ!! God doesn't need us for HIS will to be done. He allows us the JOY of participation. See the difference?

Secondly, there are many who preach the Good News of Jesus Christ away from public view so we must not assume that God's Word is not being preached. Actually, more importantly than passing out tracts, we need to begin washing some feet allegorically speaking. I mean, it is time to roll up our sleaves and experience the JOY of hugging an inmate or sitting with an elderly neighbor and reading to them or helping an immigrant catfish farmer in a new place.

I have used tracts in the past BUT now I prefer to just pass out Bibles in any good and appropriate translation (NASB, NVI (spanish), etc.). Regardless of method or motive, what matters most is that God's Word is preached.

Bless you,

Wayne

Even though we are all called to share the Gospel, I don't think all Christians are called to hand out tracts. There are specific people that God may put it in their heart to do that. In that case, they should.

We must be careful not to impose what God may be asking us to do on other people. God may call some to be prayer warriors and to pray for two hours a day. That person may then feel so strongly about it that they think everyone should do so. When others try and "fail", it can hurt their walk and make them feel like a failure. Different people have different callings. Even if some have similar callings, God may ask them to fulfill their callings in different ways.

The most effective witness is our lifestyle.

I happen to know a gentlemen who found a tract in a ditch. He placed it on his dresser well about 2 years after that he read it and got saved. He now has been faithful in a local church and preaches in the jails and his daughter ended up getting saved and married a missionary. I like the tracts from fellow ship tract league as well. I think you should stamp the address of your church on there as well so that they dont just get saved and left to themselves afterwards. I like going to walmart and handing out tracts. I will hand them to people, put them on shelves etc. Plant the seed! Amen! Also pray over your tracts. I've seen that work very well.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
