Yes he used commercial.  And he sat in coach.

Didn't billy graham use commercial air travel instead of private planes? Wouldn't that be better than having your own plane?

Yeah, but then he'd have to deal with all the filthy rabble . . . er, other people on a commercial flight. :whistling:

$65 million is a lot of money for a plane. Maintenance & operating costs will not be cheap for that aircraft either, so he's going to need a lot of money to keep that going.

Wonder how many missionaries, bibles, training for pastors, etc. that would buy instead of a plane?

In answer to your question about Billy Graham using commercial Airlines and his suits we not $5000 either.  He kidded one night about getting his suits in Mountgomery Wards because he needed something he could hang in the bathroom to get the wrinkles out.  He also live in the same home he and wife shard for over 60 years.  Yes it's beautiful but it is not a ocean front mansion.  His children and grand children when he dies each  get's 5 acers to build their own houses all the money is in ministry and will stay there.

"Dollar claims  the private jet allows him to safely and swiftly share the good news of the Gospel worldwide in a way that commercial aircrafts just couldn't."

Yes, we wouldn't want to besmirch  the Gospel by riding in coach...

If he is truly the man of faith he claims to be, why does he think that the inconveniences of commercial aircraft would or could frustrate the plan of God to get the Gospel worldwide???

Billy Graham went all over the world, Romania, Australia, the UK, Russia, India....   He did it all, or most of it by means of commercial airlines.   He was also subjected to riding in a C-130 when visiting some US military bases overseas.    No one had to pay his way, either.   God simply provided.   He was willing to fly sitting on empty egg crates to remote areas of the world because the Gospel was more important than his personal comfort.

While I wouldn't want to fly on a domestic flight in somewhere like Angola (for instance) I think a private jet for a preacher is an extravagance. Someone mentioned the cost of maintenance, there would also be the need to hire a flight crew (pilot and co pilot at the very least) and fuel.
