I used to work in a grocery store deli and there was a black lady that shopped there was notorious for assuming that every white person in the store was there to cheat her and over price her stuff simply because she was black. When my daughter was young the people she picked out as pretty were not necessarily pretty physically...... Her kindergarten teacher was a lady of color and about half way through the school year we were working, with our daughter, on the racism thing and asked her what she thought about Black people (that was the comon terminology at the time) and she looked up at her mother and said that she didn't know any black people..... that was the last discussion I remember having with her.... she had all kinds of friends. Actually one of the guys in her class was a really nice person of color and I had to go through the thought process of what we might do if they wanted to date..... after I decided I could deal with it we find he was gay... How many teenage girls do you know that had a black gay friend? That's just the way our house went..... I might add that while you know I can't approve of the lifestyle, I really did like the kid.... Kind and considerate of everyone, respectful of his elders, smart and made good grades and played in the Band as I remember... Oh well, I will have to let God deal with the other.....
