I believe that you can sin and still be saved.

I look at David as an example of this.

He repeatedly sinned and repeatedly repented but was still saved according to God.

I think we need to look at the word "practice".

Does anyone have the original text of that translation?

Hi Friend, Sometimes it is called willfull= meaning that one knows it is sin and yet does it anyways, says i am sorry, then does it again, then says i am sorry, then does it again, etc-- truly this one is not sorry to God. How can one put on the new and then look back and do, in reality this one has not put on the new. they are likened to Lots wife. By the judgement of God Lot lived, His wife died. She looked back. She didnt even have the opportunity to commit a sin, but in her heart it was her true desire. God the only reader of hearts, the only one who has the book of life, no man has seen the names written in this book, no man can tell another that he is saved because he cannot read hearts.

Hi Friend, alls it takes is listening to Gods word over men.

I totally agree. That's why I'm OSAS. And you never did answer my question. But I'll move on.

Hi Friend, no one knows it doesnt say if they were saved. but this is obvious truth, These did powerful works in Jesus name ( do any of us do powerful works in Jesus name? ) Obviously if someone is doing powerful works in Jesus name, they think they love Jesus very much, in their hearts, minds, and souls, but they practiced sin, Jesus called them workers of iniquities= practiced sin( 1 John 3:4 ) and he confessed that he NEVER knew them, These were told ( had their ears tickled ) you are saved. But the opposite is truth. In Noahs day there were 8 children of God alive out of all of mankind. 99% minimum were the children of the devil, God compared these days with Noahs day.And God said-- The road is narrow, few will find it. one way to be positive is to make sure of all things. satans #1 way to mislead mankind has always been by transforming into an angel of light by posing as god in false religions.

So instead of "practice" sin, it could be translated to one who "covets" sin or "extorts" sins.

So it doesn't necessarily mean one that commits a sin over and over but rather one who loves their sin.

Hi, Obviously if one keeps on doing a sin he doesnt do it because he hates doing it, to God anyways. There is a list at 1 corinthians 6: 9-11-- Drunkards ( probably drugs to since Paul said the word Pharmacia was the way the demons could enter a human ) adulterers, men who lie with men ( homosexuality ) fornicators( men who have sex with a woman out of the marriage arrangement) revelers, idolotors, thieves, greedy persons, extortioners,--- see at 9 it says WILL NOT ENTER GODS KINGDOM ( this is where eternal life is ) and in 11 it says-- this is what some of you were ( past tense ). This is Gods reality. God said those words through his inspired writer.

Romans 7

14. For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

15. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

16. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

17. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

18. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

19. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

20. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

21. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

22. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

23. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

24. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

25. I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

I'm thinking that there is a difference between "practicing" sin and "coveting" sin.

"Practicing" seems to mean that they do it over and over but "coveting seems to mean they love doing it.

Do you see where I'm making a difference?

I think a person can hate practicing a sin but still do it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
