Why were these guys arrested? It's bemusing.

Galatians 1:7-9 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. Matthew 7:15-20 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them. The place is packed with people, who have traveled, taken time out of their day, perhaps paid good money for tickets etc. Do you support the right of anyone in the audience to just get up and be a distraction against what all those people, and yourself, came to see and hear? Free speech is not unlimited, it is intended to allow you to protest your government, without fear of reprisal. It is not meant to allow Joe Blow to interrupt religious services. It would allow people to speak their own viewpoints, and they can, just not in someone else's venue.
Guest shiloh357
Heckling someone on their own private property doesn't fall under the category of constitutionally protected speech. It is more akin to harassment.

One of them wrote a manifesto on that site. It seems to imply that they have a goal of disrupting "orthodoxy". They have a history of doing this kind of thing elsewhere and being arrested. They dont play well with others.
Guest shiloh357
If they think Joel Osteen represents doctrinal Christian orthodoxy, they really haven't listened to his teachings very much and they don't know the Bible very well, LOL

Why were these guys arrested? It's bemusing. On the heels of murders of church people, the arrests are completely justified. Disturbing the peace is worthy of police detaining those who commit it. Disrupting an orderly church service is not exercising free speech.
