This is what I don't get. Why would refusing to have a microchip implant have anything to do with a person's heart towards Christ?

Biometric data is increasingly required for travel between countries. Supposing in a couple of years time it becomes a requirement to be "chipped before your trip". What should missionaries and overseas workers do? Make illegal border crossings and risk detention - which would mean the work would fail to be done? Or get the chip and go to the country and do God's work, exactly as they would have done without one?

I simply do not see how this chip would make the slightest bit of difference to them. It's not controlling them. It's not preventing them from doing the work they're going out there to do. They didn't have to sign a pledge of allegiance to any kind of evil in order to obtain it.

Are you seriously saying God would condemn to hell people whose hearts are for him and who are actively doing what he wants them to do, simply because they have a microchip embedded in their skin?

The whole idea is so ridiculous that it seems obvious to me that John is not speaking of a literal "mark".

Yes, the "mark" John is talking about is just an outward reflection of the hearts of those who accept it. But it's not something that is literally there. In his vision it has a meaning; it is so he can understand what is happening when he sees the judgement.

(It's like an actor portraying a thief by wearing a black and white stripey shirt and mask and carrying a bag with "SWAG" written on the side. No thief actually looks like that - they look just the same as the rest of us. But the costume lets the audience know that he is a thief - so when they later see him being handcuffed by the police officer they know exactly why.)

In any case it is not a vision of the future, it is part of the picture of the present that John is painting. The churches were being persecuted by Nero. Christianity was illegal. When Christians were arrested, they were made to either pledge allegiance to Nero or die. If the "mark" does refer to anything literal, it is this. But John is making a bigger point - God will judge Nero and Rome, just like he will judge all rulers and their civilisations. He will judge those who persecute Christians and he will judge those who deny Christ to escape suffering.

When you look for the mark in the bible it is always accompanied with worshiping the image of the beast. This mark will be given only those who have taken the Lucerifian Oath to his allegience and do worship him. It is an outward sign that you are a follower of him and without this sign no other person (which will be power) will do business with you or sell or give you anything including food and water. Those without the mark will simply starve to death or be killed as they are found out and still refuse to worship the beast or it's image and receive it's mark.

If the chip is the mark and you receive one before it is made manditory as a sign of a beast worshiper, it will be removed.

I personally do not believe that the chip or something hidden will be the mark. I believe the mark will be open and in plain sight for anyone to see and is just a marker for everyone to know your heart.

Yes, that we do agree on. But I wonder if most of us won't just starve instead of the chopping block.

One of the things I am looking for is for the military to demand it for everyone, even those who have to go onto bases to work. That will put me in a very hard spot, not knowing if it is the mark or not, but having to put my very long career in the dumpster if I refuse. So, see where I am coming from..... I don't what to have to put my family out if this chip is not really the mark, and worship of the image of the beast is "not" involved.

So, it really is important that we know and understand about this subject to keep from messing life up when it is not necessary. The id part of this chip thing really is not a bad idea if looked at just by itself. Cashless society is much physically safer and one could easily make a case for that. Were we not concerned with the Antichrist/beast thing I would think most of us would think it a very good idea....... it's where and with whom one draws a line that is the question, for I could make a point (and several of my older uncles did) that we all here in the states already have the mark when we applied for and received a social security number.

That is why I say we should be looking harder for the beast than the mark.... for one can find the mark anywhere and everywhere one cares to look.

Unfortunately, Satan takes things that can be blessings and distorts them into being a curse. I do believe that the chip COULD be used for good purposes. The bad news is, Satan will use this as his guise. He isn't stupid, next to God, there is no one smarter. We must be willing to give up jobs, lands, families...or else we are not worthy of Christ. I am not saying that if you get a microchip right now, or at any given point of time, that you are taking the MARK. However, you are taking a precurser, a forerunner. This would not be necessarily bad. BUT, and this is a big BUT...when the ACTUAL mark does become compolsurary...THEN AND THERE we, as Christians, MUST AND WILL refuse it. There will be no mistaken it... if we aren't raptured first, Jesus-believers will know and reject the microchip.

No, I meant spam because this transponder will probably also be how we access the internet and get our email, keep track of our discussions, etc, etc, etc,...

But it could also be spam (the meat) because every kind of food we buy will be tracked and paid for by subtracting monetary units from our account....and accessed by cash registers that can only read a transponder.

EVERYTHING about a person who is "online" in this Matrix world will be known by the one at the top through this transponder. The Mark is probably something visible to show that you've submitted to this world-wide authority.

First....No one has a clue...When Christ will return...None..Second of all..as far as the "mark " is concerned...I highly doubt it'll be a tattoo, computer chip or anything of the like...Whatever it is will be like nothing we've ever seen before...

I've spoken with some survivors of the Holocaust and they thought ( the messianic jews) Christ was coming back...The I.D. stamps that they had to wear.. people were tripping and many died because they swore it was the mark of the beast...We have no idea...While this is a neat topic to chat about..Please Beloveds be careful to not entertain foolish things...Don't forget why we are all here and that is to preach the name of the Lord Jesus Christ To all.Showing and living out loud The divine love that he has bestowed upon all that are called by His name..that others may see they have purpose...They have a Divine Destiny...
