Jesus faced many of these same issues with the religious leaders of his day. He confronted them with their hypocrisy, and he taught us how to not be that way by his words and by his actions.

The church of today needs people who will be Jesus to the world and to the church in helping the church to see its hypocrisies and to see what we need to do to change. We need Martin Luthers who will stand for what is right, even if it is not popular.

The Bible states that in the last days God will pour out His Spirit on men and women and they will prophesy. They will address things like this and they will encourage right responses. This is what you have done.

If we are going to see a transformation of the church, it will begin with us and it will begin in our hearts. One person can make a difference. Jesus is proof of that, and so are the Greats of the Faith.

The church is in need of revival. We need to pray for revival, and we need to be willing to let it begin in our hearts. And, we need to believe that God can use us to make a difference. We need to speak out for what is right. We need to be a voice for truth in this time in our history when truth is getting lost.

SJ,I know just what you are talking about,sometimes i get so disgusted with people who call themselves christians and ccontinally nick pick about things in the bible.Dont give up ,keep the faith,andlive as a example.That is what i try to do.

SWJ, I have just picked up on this thread and and I know the feeling and thats why, to a great extent I stopped going to church, and I understand about some people who call themselves christian and fall out over doctrine that has nothing to do with with the life, the death, the resurrection, the ascention. and the outpouring of His Holy Spirit, all while we were yet sinners and all of which is a demonstration of His love and desire for us to be reconciled to the Father.

Well my young brother you may be able to renounce your chritianity, but knowing your style, I know you wont be able to renounce your Christ

Religion is dead but the spirit of christ is alive! Don't be discouraged ,this is a maturing process for all of us to realize.
