Christian Counselor, did you happen to miss the last part of my letter? Maybe you should look over it again. Specifically these parts:

I am part of a religion that is more concerned about whether Christ comes back before or after seven years of Tribulation than they are about the billions of lost people that won

And self-promotion is a very, very bad idea. We've got too many of them running around! It's the message that needs to spread, not more messangers.

Exactly why I tried to keep myself out of the letter. :emot-handshake:

Women wearing pants is wrong!!?? Goodness, whoever made that comment must live near me because that is ALL I hear about. I hate it too. Come where I live, and you won't find many churches where women wear pants. I'm thinkin on makin a scene sometime soon! I'd like to wear my jeans to every service.

Super Jew,

Thats a good letter, and I hope those who get it really read it and have their eyes opened by the Lord. There is so much nonsense going on in churches today....it's just ridiculous!

Not long after I was saved, I was told a story that still to this day disturbs me. You see, I live in a rural area in Kentucky where so so many are closed minded and set in their ways. ANYWAY, years ago near this area, a woman walked off the street into a church. The woman was wearing jeans, and looked pretty rough from what I was told. When she walked into the church, she went up to the altar and cried her eyes out. Everyone in the church just sat and looked at her. Maybe it was because she wasn't dressed as they thought she should be...I dunno. Anyway, the woman cried at the altar all alone...no one ever went to help her. At some point, the lady ended up leaving the church. She was found the next morning dead...she had killed herself.

God in Heaven help us to NEVER turn anyone away by ANYTHING that we do.

As a Pastor, I can disagree little with you letter. I feel the "Church" is more worried about conducting "Church" business, that taking care of "Christian matters. When my wife and I were first married, when she said "I love You" I said, "Don't tell me, show me". That is how Christian folks need to be, showing love to the Saint and sinner alike, not approving of sinful lifestyles, just loving.

I also realize that even though my calling is Pastor, I am NOT more important that ANYONE else. we are all members of ONE body, you cannot do my job, I cannot do yours, both need to be done.

Let me close by saying, When Jesus saved our souls, he gave us direction, joining a Church does not supersede that direction. If you are ever down my way, come visit us as Church (jeans and t-shirts welcome)

Churches should be free of a dress code.DELETE.I agreed with you until several days ago until the Holy Spirit told me that Christian girls/women must stop dressing like men and that rules out pants or slacks. This is a major concern for God has so remove this portion of your letter. Tell them what the Holy Spirit told me;the rapture will occur this year.Maybe that will wake them up.

I disagree.

Well there is an interesting thought. I do believe that it was the women who wore the pants in that culture of which you don't mention. I spent two months in Morrocco and one week in Isreal, so I saw how they dress and so on. Personally I can say that God doesn't care how you come to him as long as you do. He waits to take us as we come and then he does the cleaning job, with our co-operation. Listen I hang around people who are more than easy about going to church in Jeans and T-shirts. I've even seen some of them in dirty and ripped clothes in church. Fortunatly the congregations here around Toronto and surrounding area's are more leanient, Not all mind you but enough that it's making a difference. This is no longer about what is proper etiquete but its about reaching out in love. You obviously can't accept wrong behavior, yet you can walk beside someone who needs you no matter what they look like. If you doubt it then try it.

Second It's a very bold statement to say God told somone his coming would be this year. How many years has people been saying that and the year ends and OPPS no Jesus. Oh yes he is coming but The bible clearly states That of that time no one knows but the father. If it also says his coming would be like a theif in the night, then that says nobody would be forewarned just as in the parable of the ten virgins. No time frame was given. I can and do respect the oppinions of others but I must say that I don't agree with this one.

Respectfully:

Mousiegurl :whistling:

Hey, believe it or not, there are churches that when they found out that a missionary family wore nothing but pants, they stopped all their funding, all the monies they had been supporting these missionaries with, they flat stopped it.

the missionary family is missionaries north of the Arctic Circle.... talk about legalistic.

another missionary i know of just about lost his funding from one congregation cause he grew a beard......

come now.....

i know of one church congregation, claiming to be a main line denomination, flaunting hatred and at the same time boasting that they are the only true Christian Congregation and if you are not a member of this baptist congregation ( not of the baptist church, but that pedicular congregation you are lost, they have it set where if a dress is above a certain point you are sinning, but at the same time are selling thongs in the church store, with very inappropriate sayings on them, they also have much more going on. a massive hatred towards anyone that does not belong to that congregation.

we all have to do our job, and that job is go out and win souls, not just the pastors, but the parishioners. that is our job, the pastors job is to help train us.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
