How do we over come temptation when we are tempted ? we can say that God does not let us be tempted beyond what we can get out of, there is a scripture for that, I read it one time, and so , how do we resist, and what can we do , or what is good advise ?

for many believers today are caught up in many addictions and habits that are against God and the body  or temple we have and we go against the spirit of our temple if we give in to temptation,  and then it conceives Sin,

so you hear many say, I did not mean too, or did not want to , but I did , I could not help my self, or I did not think ?

or I cannot give it up, its got a hold on me,.?

so what do we do , well I am no doctor, or specialist , but what I do know ,and learned through reading about control and the word of God

walk in the spirit of God, and you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh, for the spirit is willing and the flesh , we all know is weak,

love God with all of your heart mind and soul and strength, first,    place Him first, and then love one another, these are the two commandments

we need to know that our life is but the will ,and mind,   so if you set your mind to something ,you can follow through , and try to over come things not good in life, by reading the scriptures  and being in Gods word is a great start , and understanding the power of the spirit, within you, and the power of Gods word, will also help

we have three powerful wills ,that needs to be dealt with in the flesh , the first is the will to survive your will to be who you are, to be alive,

second it is the will of food , to eat and to live we need food, and thirds , is the sex drive, and so we need to break this up and work with this , by giving our selves into prayer ,and reading of scriptures , praying , and being focus on God, walking in the spirit , and saying no to the evil, and temptations, and to know ,God loves us, and died for us, to bring us out of our bondage and lost state of condemnation

God is a awesome God, and we can break any chains that bind us, and wills if we have God on our side, and if, we are abiding, and obeying God, it helped me , and I think it will help others, blessing to you all, and grace and peace, your mind and will give it all,to the lord, and you will over come the evil one , resist the devil and he will flee

I hope this helps people ,

Satan and his forces can do nothing about our Identity in Christ (Helmet of Salvation), but if they can, they will cloud our perspective (Faith’s Shield) and dull our effectiveness in our ministry of reconciliation. No body loses control to Satan and his forces overnight; it is a gradual process of deception and yielding to their subtle influence.

Many of the body of Christ, instead of recognizing that their minds are being peppered by the fiery darts of the enemy, they think the problem is their own fault. “If those foul thoughts are mine, what kind of person am I?” they wonder. So they end up condemning themselves while the enemy continues their attack unchecked.

Satan and his forces are created beings, and they do not perfectly know what we are thinking. By observing us they can pretty well tell what we are thinking, but they do not know what we are going to do before we do it. They can put thoughts into our mind, and they will know whether we buy their lie by how we behave.

Satan and his forces can try to influence us by planting thoughts in our mind, but they cannot read our thoughts. If we are going to resist Satan and his forces, we must do so outwardly so they can understand us and be put to flight. We cannot expect God to protect us from Satan and his forces influences if we do not take an active part in God’s prepared strategy.

When Satan and his forces tempt us through the channel of the lust of the flesh, they will invite us to fulfill our physical needs in ways that are outside the boundary of God’s will for us. Whenever we feel enticed to meet a legitimate physical need by acting independently of God, we are being tempted though the lust of the flesh.

The lust of the eyes subtly draws us away from God and eats away at our confidence in God. We see what the world has to offer and we begin to place more credence in our own perspective of life. Fueled by the lust for what we see, we grab for all we can get, believing that we need it and deceived that God wants us to have it. Wrongly assuming that God will withhold nothing good from us, we lustfully claim prosperity.

The temptation of the pride of life is intended to destroy our obedience to our ministry of reconciliation by urging us to take charge of our own lives. Whenever we feel that, we do not need God’s help or direction, that we can handle our life, that is the pride of life. Every temptation that Satan and his forces throw at us will challenge one or more of these values.

They will watch us to learn where we are most vulnerable and will tempt us in any area that we leave unguarded. Satan and his forces know they can never own us, but if they can deceive us into yielding control of our life to them in some way, they can neutralize our growth and our impact of our ministry of reconciliation.

Galatians 5:16 NKJV I say then: walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Romans 8:5 ESV For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.

6 For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.  For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God'saw;  indeed, it cannot.  Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells any.  Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

So set your mind on allowing Christ to live in you to love and forgive others through you.  Set your mind on sharing the Gospel and keeping your life pure as  good witness to others.  Walk in the Spirit.

Not bankers.

Not lawyers.

Who then ?

Who WANTS to overcome temptation ?

Who WANTS to be forgiven ?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
