This is NOT a matter of a person's nationality or current religion but in obeying the gospel of our Lord Jesus. Yes God is merciful, but the bible is very clear, that once we die an earthly death, there is no second chance for repentance. We must come to God through Jesus while we are alive.

The idea that one can get to heaven without making a conscious effort in excepting and believing in Jesus Christ is to say that the work Jesus did on the cross was incomplete and insufficient. No one can claim ignorance for the knowledge of God is known instinctively in everyone's heart. Likewise, all have instinctive knowledge of right and wrong. So no one is without excuse. Paul who was himself Jewish said that there was no distinction between people. He taught that it is through faith in Jesus Christ that is the only way to God. This is clearly taught that it is for both the Jew and the gentile. It is only by believing and trusting Jesus that makes a person worthy to enter heaven.

Nicodemus, was a Pharisee who certainly believed in God, and him being a pharisee, he did all kinds of “works” and yet Jesus told him he needed to be born again. That is by first believing that Jesus is Lord and savior and then repenting and turning from all sin. So if Jesus who told Nicodemus what he needed to do; why would it now be different for Jews     today?

John 14 : 6

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Romans 3:22 thru 23

even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

2 Thessalonians 1:8 and 9

He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might

It isn't any different Sis & that has been expressed over & over & over & over-lol    That same question has been asked in different ways over & over, perhaps hoping to get a different answer? I have no idea myself & the answer is never going to change,,,,,,,these Threads are always categorizing "the Jews"........the "Jews" are made up of INDIVIDUAL people that each have the opportunity to embrace Jesus as their PERSONAL Lord & Savior,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,as does every single catholic,JW,islamist, atheist, lutheran, mormon ,agnostic,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,there are 2 kinds of people on this earth,,,,,,believers & unbelievers,SAved & unSaved,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Yes, I know kwik, This is my second reply on the topic of Universalism to him. And your right about no matter how the questions are worded the answers folks give will remain the same. But. . . I felt it necessary to reiterate what I have said in another post on the subject.

Thanks  to God you said that!  :D. ((Hugssss))

So, if a Jew dies, never having confessed Jesus is Lord while conscious in this life, that doesn't mean  he will go to hell?

See, there is also the issue of culpability. Jesus said of the Pharisees, if they did not know, they would not have sin.

So, that leaves another question, if you were raised Jewish and from early on to believe Christianity was false and anti-semitic, How much sin are they guilty of if they don't realize they're rejecting the truth?

Okay, so if the spirit of God cannot live within a Jew, can God still have a relationship with a Jew, guide them, Inspire them, interact with them, console them?

Those who come to Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.

The Jews need to be redeemed like all mankind.

As far as, who will be saved, ...well, we are saved by His grace, and It is written that He who will have mercy upon those He deems worthy.

Christ is going about and then he states that He came to them that needed a doctor but others needed not the doctor., then again them around Him said look Master they go about casting out demons not in your name. Christ says to them them that do this can't be against me.

People can sound very religious but not have a true relationship with Jesus as Lord and savior of their lives. In the Mathew 27 : 21 thru 23 passages it tells us that just because people can say Lord and do miracles in his name doesn't mean that they are truly Christians. They have totally rejected God's plan of salvation and replaced it with a plan of their own. And that is why Jesus called their deeds evil. Jesus did not know them because they did not develop a true relationship with him when they were living. For good works can not make us right with God. We become right with God when we except his plan of salvation. There is NO other way to God except through believing in Jesus on the cross.

All are alike, all people have sinned. All have fallen short of the glory of God. NO one on this earth is righteous. There is no distinction between people. Every man, woman, and child is in need of the savior no matter who they are, or where they are or what walk of life they are from. We can never save ourselves. That is why Jesus came down from heaven, was born of a woman, born as a Jew, died on the cross and rose from the dead and went back up into heaven. He is fully God and fully man.

God wants and commands ALL men and women to come to him through his son, no one can come to God by any other way. No matter how brilliant of an idea. God rejects all human means and ideas as a way to him. Why? So that we could never brag in his presence that we got to heaven by our own strength and power. God in his wise and loving plan for us chose “faith” that is believing who Jesus is and his death on the cross for us.

Really: Many repented and understood that they should not kill animals for sins but repent and forgive and fear God and they did love each other.

But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

And yes the Kingdom has suffered because of it. Power in all Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,

Again even the Law and Prophets all points to Christ. If they do the Father will they will be saved it is the same Spirit.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Moreover who are these at Christ death that went into Heaven and how save them is it not the same ?

50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

Not having read all of the posts before, I am probably being redundant, but . . .

The Spirit can inspire people, like the writers of the Old Testament.  Psalm 51:11 pleads to not have the Holy Spirit removed. Exodus 31:3 shows that people could be filled with the Spirit. Joel 2:28 seems to indicate the the Spirit will be poured out on all people.

However, I think (perhaps in ignorance) that the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, is reserved for beleivers in Christ, and that Spirit filling is something separate from Spirit indwelling. Spirit filling is something God does to enable or embolden a person for some task He has called the person to, whereas the indwelling is something for believers, so that God is always there for them, as a comforter and encourager, a counselor to advise us and convict us, and to enable us to better know and understand His will and His word.
