The Flood and it's consequences, as told in Genesis, is truly an amazing story. It's a terrific mystery, when unraveled, displays the Supreme Intelligence of our God and tells us of our True Origins. In order to understand the Flood, one must understand the following:

The world of Adam was an enclosed Biosphere much smaller than our world, which was totally surrounded by the firmament which protected it from the water into which it was placed. Gen 1:6-8. Adam's Earth was not on a Rocky Planet, like our present Earth, since it was "clean dissolved" in the Flood, and rocks don't dissolve in water. Isa 24:19

Noah and the Ark were 22 1/2 ft (15 cubits) above the highest elevation of Adam's Earth on the 150th Day after the Flood began. At this depth the mountains of that Earth were covered in water. Gen 7:20

On the SAME 150th Day after the Flood began, the Ark rested upon the mountains of Ararat. Gen 8:4

That's one of the mysteries. HOW could the Ark be in both places on the SAME Day?

God bless

P.S.

Please accept my sincere apologies to those I have offended. I was out of line and very rude... It's one of my weaknesses. Still learning, though! :)

Dear Readers,

The idea that Noah brought a lot of animals in the Ark is Un-Scriptural . The total number could easily have been less than a  thousand creatures. There was no need to bring creatures which were created from the water on the 5th Day.   Gen 1:21 since those same creatures (Their Kind -   Trinity) were already on our present Planet and had been  here for Billions of years when the Ark arrived and floated in the vicinity of Mt. Ararat (Lake Van, Turkey) some 10k years ago.

The creatures which were aboard the Ark were the creatures which Jesus, the Son, made with His own Hands (His Kind). Science calls them
common ancestors. The common ancestor of All Humanity on this planet was a direct descendant of Adam, the first Human, and his name was Noah

Humans were scattered all over the face of the Earth from Babel which was built by the son of one of Noah's grandsons, Cush. Gen 10:10 Science   agrees and   Human civilization can be traced to Noah's arrival some 10k +- years ago just south of Mt. Ararat..

God bless

Gen 7:

17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.

18 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.

19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.

20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.

Gen 8:

 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged;

The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;

And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.

And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.

Could you be so kind as to point out where in chapter 7 it says the water was at its highest on the 150th day?

It was also resting upon the mountains of Ararat on the same 150 days AFTER the flood began. Gen 8:4

Gen 8:1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;

17 The flood continued forty days on the earth. The waters increased and bore up the ark, and it rose high above the earth.

vs 24 of chapter 7 tells us how long the waters covered all of the land, not when they reached their zenith. The 40th day is when the flooding stopped, in other words God turned off the spigot. After that point the water could have gotten no higher.  Again, vs 24 tells us when all of land was no longer covered, and this is verified in chapter 8 vs 3.

Sorry, but the Scripture does NOT agree with your private interpretation. Read it again, below...

Gen 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.

v18 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.

v19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that [were] under the whole heaven, were covered.

v20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered

v24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days

It was during the 40th day of the flood when the Ark started to rise up and floated above the ground of the earth. However, the water prevailed and INCREASED EXCEEDINGLY upon the earth for hundred fifty days BEFORE the flood was abated. And the Ark rested upon the mountains of Ararat. (Gen 8:3-4)

Gen 8:1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that [was] with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the  waters asswaged

2 The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained

3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated

4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.

Also, God did NOT "turned of the spigot" on the 40th day - as you would like us to believe - simply, because, the Fountains of the Great Deep were already Broken Up! Gen 7:11. It was only after the 150th Days when the waters were restrained and abated.

Adam’s firmament of heaven was in a completely enclosed Biosphere, an incubator of Humanity. Adam's world was a  Flat Earthmuch smaller than our present world. The highest mountain was only 15 cubits in height (22 1/2 ft.) while our    present world measures some 29k ft. high above sea  level.

Adam’s Earth had only 4 Rivers, which all ran out of the Garden of Eden compared to our present world, has thousands of Rivers  all over the face of our earth.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
