All those people that were cheering her for saying she would abide by the FBI's recommendation are probably less happy now. Did anyone really believe she was going to be charged? Guest Teditis Posted July 5, 2016 Share Posted July 5, 2016 I agree that the brunt of all of this was just "posturing"... and it's unbelievable that she has been excused by the FBI. But in total, it doesn't surprise me in the least, though it still pains my heart. When I was in Corporate Security for DoD contractors back in the Clinton years I knew several FBI agents that worked closely with the White House. The stories that they would tell in explaining ever-changing policies concerning classified material and clearances would often include stories about Hillary and her friends. US policy and procedures needed to be changed and "updated" in order to allow her in to the White House itself and around the President. Seriously. The Clinton Administration changed a lot of policy regard National Security measures in order for Clinton's staff to be in close contact with Government agencies... and the FBI is at the heart of these kind of policies. Many of Clinton's staff, to include Hillary, herself couldn't pass a security clearance at the time... policies were changed so that she could even sit as First Lady... I kid you not. (Throwing hard objects at your husband takes on a new meaning when it's the POTUS, they had to adapt new rules, policies and procedures for Hillary.) Anyway, it doesn't surprise me in the least that Obama's appointees in the FBI would whitewash Hillary's misdeeds. Security Clearance provenance is overseen by Presidential oversight... and that Hillary would disregard Presidential orders when she views the Constitution as an outdated, lofty ideal seems par for the course.
