Catechism

My question has to do with Section/Paragraph 841 in the above link.  Is this legitimate or is this some computer hackers attempt to further discredit or embarrass Roman Catholicism?  It appears to come from the Vatican but looks can be faked.

That definitely looks genuine.  You can Google it for yourself.  So what the question for Catholics?  I would be surprised if even a handful of Catholics have a handle on their Catechism. As far as the RCC is concerned they are the one true Church since Peter was the first pope (according to them). But if Peter is the rock, then Christ cannot be the Rock.

We have some Catholics here, maybe they can shed some light on the subject.  Interestingly, if it is so, it would explain some of the things the Pope has said over the last year.  I kept on reading and it keeps being interesting from there.

The Rock is not just Christ. It is the revelation itself that, "You are the Christ..." This revelation is the foundation of the Church, the Bride of Christ. It is not Peter, or any other apostle, but the revelation itself, which comes from the Spirit Himself.

I'm only asking as a former Roman Catholic.  I'm wondering if according to their church leaders, they know they are worshipping the same god as Muslims.  That might be a hard pill for some to accept, if true.

Exactly.  The Muslim god is a demon, not the God of Abraham and Ishmael.

THE same words different people at different times they said about Jesus, Stephen, and many others.

So what is the point, can anyone expects to bring anyone closer to the Gospel, by calling those we are supposed to evangelize names, of hostility.

I'm not hostile.  I'm just stating facts.

I think that the Catholic worship the same God and Jesus Christ that we do.
