3) The many conflicting messages given to the general population about the sanctity of life.  Liberals generally belive that it is okay for a woman to take the life of an unborn child, and for an elderly or terminally sick individual to take their own life.  Yet some of these people will chain themselves to a tree to save the life of an old growth tree, or to save a white owl.  If liberals truly want to help defend the defenseless, why aren't there more liberals against abortion?

This point you have made, I have been bring up in all my abortion debates, and the fact that they(liberals) are against hunting. It is very contradictory to there belief system to support abortion, but then be anti-hunting, setting animals on or infact above human life, and chaining themselves to trees. It would fit perfectly into there belief system to be pro-life, but they are not. The call themselves pro-chose, but that is just a sugar coated word for pro-abortion. Infact, they do have a chose, don't have sex. That is the simplest way to prevent a pregnacey. They want to indulge in pleasure, but without consequence. Ok I will stop my rant.

I struggle with Conservatisms general lack of concern for environmental issues as well as tendency to not get involved with social concerns as much. (I know the issue is complicated, but still . . . .)

The trouble is the environmental movement is knee deep in New Age ideology. Many environmentalists actually worship "mother" earth as a goddess called Gaia (sp?). Also the environmentalist movement is proabortion and pro-population control and actually puts animals and even plants on the same level (if not higher than human beings). Also while there are serious environmental problems I have heard it said that a lot of them are exagerrated by the "Green" movement. I must emphasise that I'm talking about the movement in general NOT individual people.

For the record I try to recycle as much of my rubbish as possible.

The media hype will continue against conservates because of the control the liberals have on the media. Conservatives will continue to be painted as cold hearted, uncaring people while the liberals will paint themselves as all caring, kind hearted people. Why is it then that a conservative president has more minorities on his cabinet than any previous president, including liberal presidents? Why is it that scientific truth about environmental issues are squashed in favor of untruthful "earth friendly" ideologies that are being forced down our throats as being the gospel truth. As people learn more and more about the truth, opinions and attitudes will change.
