So if the child was a girl I guess flags would be up. There is always a reaction to any action. Even with all the positives in this stuff, science needs to tread carefully. We have a hard time dealing with races we have let alone another race of genetically altered humans. And that's just a practical societal thing let alone all the theories that can happen genetically in science. I think it's fascinating also like shadows but at the same time taking a deep breath.

The technique typically relies on killing (they call it discarding) a fertilized egg. Some may think that isnt life yet, but I regard it as life. In this case, because they were muslim, he opted to use a slightly different technique but one in which there were 5 fertilized eggs/ embryos. Only one of which they used. It doesnt say what happened to the rest of them. Were they not viable? Were they discarded? From a Christian ethical standard, that is a much bigger issue. At least, to me. Edited: The other embryos were supposedly not viable. But in fertility clinics, there are often discarded embryos once they have a successful one for any couple.
