Abortion as a form of genocide

Below is a link for a timely article by Greek Orthodox Archimandrite Ephraim (who lives in Arizona).  Also conservative Catholic clergy are calling on Catholics not to vote for Hillary Clinton, who supports abortion, Planned Parenthood, etc.

I'm not sure what the laws are in other countries/states etc, but there's a Polly (politician) in Aus who wants to bring in a bill for full term abortions.

Let's not play around with different phrases and terms, here. That's what the Abortion Rights people have been trying since this whole thing became legal. That's why they call themselves pro-choice, because pro sounds a more positive stance on what follows. Let's call this what is and it is logical end game to a consolidated effort to remove humanity from our value system and replace it with ideology.  This is removing the responsibility and the integrity from our society so that personal satisfaction and instant gratification can rule the day, without any of the consequences of their actions.  

 

It diminishes the value of life, by redefining it by the numbers of weeks after conception, so uncaring people can justify their attitudes and claim to use science as an authority, as we use Christ as ours. It doesn't matter that the same science they claim backs them come from people who look at the natural world as an antiseptic petri dish.

 

Abortion is as it always has been and always will be legal murder.

 

If you want a $10.00  term for a .50 cent word, you can look up Filicide, because it means a parent killing their own children, but I see no reason to polish up a word, when the opposition will come back in mocking tones, no matter what we say. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filicide

Well, I think God' thoughts are so far above ours that our legal system is an affront to him in the first place. From what I've read in the Bible the system of justice in Israel was pretty straight foreword and didn't include anything about killing life within the womb. I'm sure it would have been handled within the family unit, but the mosaic law in the 10 commandments is very clear. "Thou shall not kill." I'm not sure wither the avenger of blood would have been brought in, but I don't think the women who was caught doing this would have had a very good day.

Most assuredly, Abortion has to be a sin, but I think a lot of what goes on in this wicked world  will guarantee many people will never see God's kingdom, unless they repent their sins and follow the path of the lamb and that goes  for those who have aborted babies before, as well.  I'm sure they will see the person they cast out of their lives, through abortion in heaven when this world is swept away. My only hope is that they, in the period of time after accepting Christ and the day they see him that they will do everything in their power to take their story as well as God's message to the rest of the world. Those who listen to them, may not be ready to listen to God's message, but hopefully, they will have an ear to the grief and the guilt of someone who has been where they are headed and made the wrong choice in the matter.

God works in mysterious and miraculous ways and through the history of the Bible has used some of the most unequipped, by the standards of man, people to move the world. We all need to help out, but we need to pray for guidance in everything or our efforts might be fruitless or worse than that.  God has a plan for this world and we need to understand that. I don't know if it was apart of his plan that oe or two abortion doctors were killed, but I am sure Satan used that to his advantage in our court systems and the media to paint all of us crazies and loons.

This is a very painful topic.  I do believe that abortion is murder, but the culprit is more than the mother.  It is the families, as well as the men who believe that being a 'player' is what it means to be a man.....and at the same time showing contempt towards the woman they have 'played'.  As Christians we are called to proclaim the sacredness of life, as well as seeking to heal the women who have had abortions.  I see my share. 

What I find reprehensible is having an abortion for career reasons and then bragging about it on national TV.  This seems very twisted and I don't understand it at all. 

The way our culture is today, a law is not going to stop this tidal wave of murder.  It is only by a change from the bottom up that change can come.  Which it may not happen at all....yet we should always gently proclaim the truth about abortion.

It is a sin often committed only once.  I have heard that there are women who abort more than one child, or even many times, but I believe they are rare.  In the Stats, women all over the board get abortions or seek to convince someone in to getting one.  That goes for women who are christian from all denominations.  Again, blame goes way beyond one women's choice.  Sin is personal, but it also binds whole cultures into slavery and fear.

You are forgetting the politicians, the judges and the media -- "the system".  They are the ones who opened the doors to wholesale abortions, and have brainwashed the public into believing that abortion is an acceptable form of birth control. But ultimately it is the mother who makes that decision, and must take full responsibility.

Please do not refer to those in favor of abortion as pro-choice. Abortion is escaping the consequences of a choice by taking all choice away from the most defenseless among us.
