After reading Bannon's beliefs and opinions I came to the conclusion that they could have been uttered by ME.  I see nothing to argue with and he is an asset to the National Security Team. What do y'all think?

I don't get why the Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the Joint Chiefs of Staff were removed from the National Security Council. If what Bannon is saying is correct, the expertise of these two individuals will be invaluable.

I hope Bannon is wrong and we will not have a full blown WWIII. But, it does appear that we may be gearing up for it, especially with the build up of the Navy the president is supporting.

Those two directors aren't BANNED from sitting in on the meetings, they may do so if they wish to.  They are simply not required to be there.  And it was the President's decision.  Obama left the head of the CIA out of the meetings; it's the President's call.  I also hope Bannon is wrong but, like you, I sense something going on in Washington that we don't know about and it's been going on for quite a while.

I am now more worried for our country than I have been any time in my life, that includes the Red Scare, the Cold War, and even Obama.

When you couple this mentality with the stories coming out that Bannon is controlling everything leaving the White House, our country is likely headed for some very dark days ahead.

This will get me blasted, but his talk would have fit well in the mid 1920s Europe.

As an aside, Trump also needs to tweet an apology to McCain and Graham, seems his own right hand man is the real war monger.

I read the article at the link and I - personally - do not disagree with anything Bannon said about radical Islam.

I can understand though what might have some on edge.  We're not used to politicians or others charged with government policy saying things in such a blunt, plain-spoken way.  It's almost like 'stream-of-consciousness' thought.  His boss, Mr. Trump, has the same trait.  I admit it gives me pause at times, as well.

We're more used to the George W. Bush's "Islam is a religion of peace", while he orders invading sovereign nations that had nothing to do with 9/11; or Barack Obama's inability to even say 'radical Islam', while ordering drone strikes against combatants and civilians alike. (He won a Nobel Peace prize, doncha know?)

So yes - we're in uncharted territory.  I'm not sure about Bannon, but I'm pretty sure his boss in not an interventionist.  We'll do what we have to do to defeat ISIS, but 'nyet' to nation building.

I hope that view prevails.

Blessings,

I'm a bit concerned as well. Sometimes it is better to hold things a little closer to the vest. I am not sure what qualifies Bannon to have the position he is in.

He is a professional propagandist.

Does it matter that he is 100% right?

Did he say anything that isn't true, or just things you don't want to hear?

Thank God for the Churchills who sound the alarm that no one wants to hear. We ARE at war and have been for about 60 years now. The other side declared it and has attacked us several times. We swat at them and hit the snooze button, prolonging the sleep.

Bush was right when he said this war would take 3 or 4 generations. We probably added another generation to that war by cowardice over the last 8 years.

The selfish cowards will complain, but someone has to face the brutality that wants to rule us.

He is not 100% right, he is mostly wrong.  ISIS is not going to undue 2500 years of progress, that is just stupid.

Hyper-nationalism is not the way to defeat global terrorism, that just gives it more places to fester and grow.

Are you raising your hand to put on the boots and go face the brutality?

And you are naive if you don't think they'll try, but it's OK, the grown-ups will protect you.

Ya know, in Brandenburg (later renamed Berlin) they thought those bungling clowns in Munich were a joke. "National Socialism (acronym: NAZI) would never be accepted in Germany!" they thought.

Thank God for Steve Bannon having the clarity of mind to reverse this denial of reality in Washington

I'm a bit old for army boots now, but my son is military. He will be a man so cowards can complain from afar.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
