(Worthy News) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked US President Donald Trump on Wednesday to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, territory Israel seized from Syria in the 1967 Middle East war.

Most of the world considers the Golan, a high plateau between northeastern Israel and southwestern Syria, to be occupied by Israel, which annexed the territory in 1981 in a move not recognized internationally. [ Source ]

I think that's a very good idea, for security reasons.

Interesting as I always thought the world accepted "To The Victor Goes The Spoils!" ???  Israel did not want the war, but won.  The land is hers to do with as she pleases.  If she did give it back after the war ended, can someone tell me when?

Israel won that land in '67, if I remember correctly, as well as the control of the rest of Jerusalem, including the Dome at the Rock. They have graciously allowed Muslims to visit their holy site.  But the Golan heights is from where the attacks were launched upon Israel and it is a very strategic area.  I believe it was given to her by God, since the winning of that war was in itself a miracle.

there are international agreed to laws about taking land after a war...   I don't think most of the world would agree to accept that.   for whatever that's worth.
