I appologize for cuttin gin like this,

but what exactly was it that happened to her?

Yeah, I've been praying for her and her family, but I've never been able to find what caused the brain damage to begin with, and was wanting to know, if that's OK?

Terry Schiavo suffered severe brain damage in 1990 following a heart attack.

She got a rather large malpractice settlement for a misdiagnosed potassium deficiency that led to the heart attack and collapse which damaged her brain.

Ya know cats post is correct...and what I have been thinking all along...there is a little boy who comes into the movie store with his mom...not very often mind you but once in a while...I believe he has Cerbel Palsy (SP?) he cannot talk...and it seems as though he can only move his head voluntarily...but what a wonderful child...he will bring tears to your eyes...he makes happy sounds...and when he is not happy with the title of the movie his mom shows him he makes a negative sound...and boy when this little one smiles it lights up the whole room and you get this swelling feeling in your heart like its overflowing...

When I think about Teri I think about this little boy...will he be next?

Please act now by calling (use 202/224-3121 or a local number if you have it) or emailing your member of Congress now (TONIGHT!) and asking for support of the Terri Schiavo law. As Terri begins day three of being denied food and water, Congressional leaders have hammered out a bill that could spare her life. The Senate has advanced a measure that is solely focused on Terri Schiavo. The House was poised to approve the same measure this afternoon until unnamed Democrats objected, requiring the full House to meet and vote on the measure just after midnight tonight (Sunday March 20, 2005). This is no time for partisan politics. Congress has a responsibility to protect the rights of American citizens and among those rights is the right to live. If Congress fails to act in time, Terri's demise will be the legacy of those Democrats who have chosen to march to the beat of the radical, anti-life drumbeat of the left.

FRC has an authentic audio file from Terri's hospital room recorded Friday afternoon, approximately two hours after her feeding tube was removed. Her father is asking her questions and she is audibly responding to him. This audio file testifies that Terri Schiavo is NOT 'in a persistent vegetative state.'

I know it is Sunday evening, but please take this alert to church and share it with others. Call your member of Congress at 202/224-3121 and then pray for Terri. Understand, this measure is an urgent matter of life and death for Terri, but it is also critically important for all Americans who are unable to care for themselves.
