All christians have to base thier religion on is a book, what hard evidence is there that its not just a fairy tale made by some guy who just wanted to inforce better morals? theres no actual evidence that ne thing in the bible actually happened. i mean were did you hear about jesus? the bible. what actual facts r there to go by? i'm not againts religions or ne thing but i like to have actual facts and no just text that has no known source. for all we know the bible could have been a book to be used for teaching people morals and ethics and not somthing to b taken literally.

What facts are you willing consider? Are you open to studying the archeological, and historical confirmations of the biblical accounts? Are you willing to give the facts a fair hearing or are you just waiting to mock what we present?

I guess the question I am asking is, are you genuinely open to a rational discussion of the facts that support the accuracy of the Bible, or are you here just to pick a fight?

I may not be the best person to describe the validity of christianity because I still struggle with many carnal things. I can say that Jesus has changed my life and the way I think. The bible is a text book for life. If you choose to learn from it , you will find it to be the most important written document you have ever encountered.

All things that modern man knows about aside from things instinctual come from books. Science, math English, history, geography and even Spiderman came from books. You can't deny they're credibility just based on that.

You did not offend anyone, but we have had atheists and others get on here and say the same things. They jump on and claim that we have nothing rational or intelligent upon which to base our faith, and set about to mock and belittle us when we try to present anything of substance.

I was just wanting to what your intentions are at the outset. I have no problem if you are genuinely interested in how we have reached the conclusions that we have, but I not going subject myself to being belittled and being told that belief in God is the equivalent of the believing in tooth fairy or something. I am not going be subjected to derisions and digs.

So, like I said, I was just wanting to see what your intentions were. You did not answer my question in my first response to you, by the way.

I have read the bible many times, and I have read other religious books as well. i'm willing to hear what ever you have to say or show me. but personaly i belive in science becuase it always backs things with hard evidence. if you don't mind I have a couple of questions for you.

1. how could it take 7 days to creat the earth if the earth wasn't even created yet? since time is based on were the sun is on the earth?

2. if there is a flood as you say, and thats what suposedly wiped out the dinosours (at leats thats the info i got when i was looking at other sites www.christiananswers.com) were are the mass remains of human skeletons. and even though know that dinosours and humans have never co-existed.

#3 how do you explain the rocks and fossiles that have been dated over a millions of years ago if earth was younger then that.

#6 if god is really "all powerful" then why did it take him seven days to make the earth? and if it took him that long to make just the earth then how long would it take to make the rest of the universe? and how come it doesn't say anything about other galaxies in the bible?

srry, if i do sound like i'm atacking you, those r the things that make me think that its a little unbelivable.

The Bible? Let me tell you about the Bible. It is a book, well actually a collection of 66 books, that were written over 1500 years of time. They were written by at least 40 men; peasants and kings, shepherds and doctors and fishermen , priests and philosophers. But despite the differences in occupations and the long span of time it took to write it all down, it is a book unified in theme and without contradiction. And it answers the questions all men ask.

The Bible is historically accurate, archiology has only confirmed it's reliability. And though not a book of science, it has facts that science has had to play "catch up" to discover.

It's easy to push it aside without looking into the facts, but if you are serious about your questions, then you should be able to take the time to really research this book. It will stand up to any test you put it to.

Part of the problem at the outset here is that you are assuming that Christianity is a monolith, and that we all believe the same things, as is implied in your use of the word "you" in your questions.

Not all Christians believe the earth was created in 6 24 hour days. There is quite a bit of variation in what Christians believe. It really depends upon who you talk to.

As for why the Bible does not mention galaxies... I am sure you understand that any answer I or anyone else could give would only be speculation, and you are not interested in speculation or conjecture, or opinion. You are interested in facts. I would therefore suggest that you limit your questions to those issues about which we could be, reasonably, expected to have facts to present. Do NOT ask us questions about which there is no possible way for us to present a factual answer and then use that as a platform to claim we claim to have nothing factual to present. That is a common "cheap shot" atheists and others use.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
