Nothing happens on the earth but by God's will.

Actually nothing in the whole universe happens but by God's will.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

But dont you think that there could have been some believers in Christ in Asia where the tsunami stuck...

Could have been...probably were.

...and wouldnt God save them as God had told Abraham when he asked God to spare Sadaam And Gamoram if he could find one righteous dont you think that there was one righteous one who believed and followed Christ?

Well, if it were the case that God spared Christians in every place where there was the loss of life, then there probably wouldn't be very many unbelievers on the earth. I think that it's more a matter of the way you view God's hand in these situations. Is God unrighteous for allowing believers to die with unbelievers? Or perhaps He is righteous because He allows believers to perish with the unbelieving....

The point is, we don't judge God according to our own sense of right and wrong. God's righteousness, His judgments, and His ability to work all things out for the good to those who are called according to His purpose, far transcend our own temporal understanding.

And do you think God Did this as punishment and justice and judgement for sin?

Well, that really is not my place to say one way or another, since God has not made the announcement publicly

Actually, it sort of rubs me the wrong way when certain religious leaders try to say that something like the Indonesian tsunami was a judgment from God. Who are they to speak on behalf of God in this way?!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Do you believe it was judgement from God?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

As I wrote, it is not my place to judge one way or another. One thing is for certain, however: When God's wrath is poured out on the great day of His judgment, we will all know very clearly what it is and why.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Well I will tell you what I know it was God and as this may seem as if I blaspheme or I try to speak for God I do not but make no mistake it was Gods Judgement.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

God's judgment on whom, exactly?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

On the unjust and the wicked now could there have been some believers there possibly but just as God did in Sadaam & Gamoram He did the same there that was not mother nature but was Gods judgement to the unrighteous.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Then why did God choose that location where that the gospel is now starting to make inroads (check out Gospel For Asia) instead of our country where that people know of Him but refuse to follow Him? We're more to be likened to Sodom and Gomorrah than that region of the world. The Bible says it rains on the just and the unjust both-don't try to speak for God when He hasn't announced it Himself!

Exactly who were the unjust and the wicked in Indonesia that deserved God's judgment any more than the unjust and the wicked in, say, Las Vegas?

Yes the bible says that and can you not see it happening here we are foolishly blinded by what we are taught to believe and we do not seek God we do not see the wrath of God being poured upon man which God has been doing so for centuries even in Israel and God did not judge Israel because they were Israel when they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years it was because of sin and God killed some those even some of those who believed on the way to the promise land because of sin.

How come God hasn't destroyed Las Vegas, or New Amsterdam?

And who exactly are YOU that you presume to speak on behalf of God in such matters as His judgments?

Ben,

I have to agree here. When someone starts thinking they are the ONLY ONE who is speaking for God, we're bordering on cultish thinking. I don't mean to imply that is where you are at, but it's not as far a step as you think.

You see it was this sort of thing that led to the death of Christ for when Christ went to Jerusalem they asked him the same. by what authority do you have to say that i do not speak for God whom has given me truth.

Ben, by chance do you want to tell us about people playing town? I think you've been to the infamous Voice of God Teaching School.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
