We're in Tyler Tx and I didn't bring my good camera.  Phone had an interesting lenses flare that shows the coverage here.  It's on my phone so I'll have to post it later.

Well an excited reporter at Newberry SC stated the crickets were chirping loudly, though I don't know how they could be heard over her own excited chirping. Pretty interesting visuals  being transmitted on tv! Guess we get to see it over and over, as the day  progresses, from other parts of this land.

No special religious prophetic happenings here, either that or we were  left behind.

I'm still here so no rapture of the Church :)

In 79 we had a lunar eclipse  in which it appears to be really huge and turned dark rust in color.  It was so strange and eerie, seeming to be abnormally close to us and just suspended.

That sounds gorgeous.

When I was a teen  several of us saw something orange in the sky, we were told it was Venus. Dont know if it was. I cant imagine Venus shining like a star if it is a planet. And still we should be able to see moon in sky as I have many times before in day time.

Hi, I believe that  Venus  the "Morning Star" is the last object other than the earth's  moon to be seen in the morning before sunlight overpowers  the reflected light from the planets.

Sometimes the new or crescent moon sliver cradles the morning star the planet Venus, plus  Jupiter. They can be seen  forming a triangle, for a time each year as  the last of the objects of night or early morning.

There was a plane that took off from PDX ( Portland) airport that was going to take people up for the eclipse. I forgot which airline it was.

All I could thing of was "And the moon shall turn to blood".    Very eerie.  It was so odd it was a little scary or ominous.

Should be great fun for some time to come., the  looking at the experiences and recordings, plus discussions of a specific cosmic calendar of God,  of time itself and prophecy as well as history.

Im in Tn. and it got dark here quickly. I saw a star fairly close  because it was dark curious if anyone knows why only one  star. also I thought after I should be able to see the moon it sky I cant; why. I also prayed during the eclispe except a minute I took to look.

That star is Mercury.  I don't think the sky was supposed to get dark enough ti see far away stars.

I don't know if there is already a thread on this but...what was your eclipse experience?

The heavens were opened and the sky was filled with angels and we saw the glory of God and the New Jerusalem.   I guess it was that was that way for everyone... wasn't it?

They say you can't look at an eclipse with your bare eyes.   But I do it all of the time. I must have eyes of steel.
