(Worthy News) - Harvey was a tropical storm but intensified Thursday into a hurricane — with the potential for up to 3 feet of rain, 125 mph winds and 12-foot storm surges.

Forecasters said Harvey was gathering strength faster than previously predicted and labeled it a “life-threatening storm” that posed a “grave risk.”

As of midday Thursday, Harvey was about 340 miles southeast of Corpus Christi, moving to the north-northwest at about 10 mph.

Nearly all of the Texas' 367-mile coast was under a hurricane or tropical storm warning or watch as of Thursday. [ Source (Read More...) ]

My information was 2 hrs old. So it could have been changed.

This is the site I check.

http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/?atlc

Its important to me because its where I can get info on hurricanes that will affect arizona. (Yes we can be affected, by the eastern pacific ones.)

they are expecting  it to build into a cat 3 by nightfall when it finally hits landfall.    There is a very warm eddy in the gulf that broke off from the normal current and Harvey is feeding off that heat.

Well it may be bad down here the next two or three days. I just worry about the flooding because Houston is a bayou city.  Trusting God to see us through.

Jesus calmed the storm. Perhaps He will calm this one and render it relatively harmless before landfall. Or at least protect the citizens in harms way.
