Subreddit name should be self explanatory. Either way, I clicked through a link, a forgot which one, and saw what the title suggests. I continued browsing. Most of it was security camera footage, etc. I never realized how fragile the human body was, how terrified or surprised the victims would have been. I never felt disgusted though, at least not for accidents or ones which blame could not be made. It was intriguing and I felt bad for these people but it was just so morbid and intriguing I continued scrolling through. What started as a morbid curiosity transformed into binge-watching the subreddit. I know it is by no means normal, but could this content have a negative effect on my spiritual being? Thank you, and I apologize for the morbid question.

IMO, it is only okay to watch or see death if God told you to kill someone (the Canaanites) or if you are being executed alongside other people or if you are with a loved one which is about to pass away or if you are witnessing a fatal accident or murder. I believe yes. We are expected to avoid evil, and today watching people die in the most horrible ways is becoming a new hobby for many. In my country for example, it is growing a lot and many have fun watching it... It is people being burned, executed with rifles and pistols, torture, etc. Watching these kind of things and being comfortable about it, it is like how the world is going nowadays. Thank you, and I apologize for the morbid question. terrible things have happened in this world, and these videos testify to this fact - either love or testimonies to the need for overall salvation could touch our hearts and make us work for it - of course the true God doesn't approve (of) bad things, but unfortunately such things have happened to not a few people against His will, and if such frames don't provoke disgust in us and don't trigger a desire in us there to be no more such things happening to our neighbor/cohabitant, then we should ask ourselves the question "where is our love/conscience?!"
