OK police in Northern Ireland well anywhere in the world shooting a suspect how would this be veid by the church

A little background from yours truly,

I have no doubt there are dirty cops. Theirs is a crime that far outweighs most criminals as they have the public trust. And to keep that trust the departments must actively engage in prosecuting dirty or bad cops to the fullest extent of the law.

That being said, part of that public trust is obeying law officials on the spot and letting the courts settle questionable matters later. Public trust is a two way street. A law officer who is threatened in any way (even most disobedience can jeopardize an officer's ability to keep the public and themselves safe).

At age 15 (I'm 56 now) I tuned up my step father for beating my mother one time too many. I used a piece of wood. Police came. I SUBMITTED to the lady officer who patted her gun when she saw me. I therefore lived to tell the tale. My now ex-step father and I made amends that same month. He and his son (my half brother) visited us for a week the last time I saw him. I plead no contest after 3 days in juvenile detention. He had some stitches and a broken cheek bone.

I am NOT belittling you or your partner, friend. I don't know the circumstances.  And I cannot imagine the grief you are going through (especially if it was fatal). I have already prayed for you and for them, and will continue to do so. And hope for the best (until I hear otherwise).

At the Sanger checking trucks Coming into the harbour had paper work to do Laurence was outside heard two bangs go off asummed a truck had back fired looked out slit Laurence was on the ground ran out just as they shot him in the chest with a Suze got to Laurence and started mouth to mouth and cpr until paramedics arrived however he died before they arrived

As was said, it depends on the circumstances. Sometimes cops make a mistake and it costs a life. 

But sometimes cops have to kill another person. Sometimes they are not left with a choice. I do not feel that is wrong. Sad but not wrong. I do not believe that the bible says its wrong either. What any church thinks, I dont know. Its not really something Ive talked about to church leaders.

Unlikely rick, since sinbad has spoken of someone else in chat. I believe he meant a work partner.
