I got your concern, that's a sad phenomenon. Unfortunately, it will happen regardless stats I think For all new believers under this thread...read the GOSPEL many times, until you know it almost by heart, before even listening to any human preachers! Thus, or likewise, a lot (multitudes) of potential new believers are not saved, and continue not knowing they're not saved until judgment day. From all the replies, I guess OP does understand what is being conveyed. But seems like still wants to see some trends and so on. Which has been provided as well. Interestingly, this would come up only with Christianity! Because Christianity is the only way of life in which Salvation is not one's own doing. No one question a Hindu whether he is a true Hindu. Same goes with other religions. Because people simple ascribe to a particular religion.
