Animals will not be in heaven. They have no souls. They have no conscious. Animals know only respect. They live in a world ruled by instinct, where only strength is respected and it is respected by brutal force. If you were smaller than that fox and he was hungry, he would kill you. His little babies would kill you. If you were smaller than that donkey and there was a female donkey around, he'd kick you with all of his force so that you'd stay away from him and his female. It's not because they're bad, it's because they have no conscious and no souls. There is no good or bad. Perhaps someone will argue that their house pets are different. This is simply because years of domestication has caused them to depend on people to live. Take away this dependence and they'll do what their instinct tells them: Stay away from humans because we're truly the most dangerous species on the planet. Even lions and tigers will go out of their way to avoid us, and if a lion or tiger is sick or injured, they'll only feed on women and children. Kill or be killed in the animal kingdom. No room for a soul.

I personally don't care for non-domesticated animals. They don't want anything to do with me either. Fun to look at, other than that, they're a sad lot that ruled the world before we marched over their land and manipulated it to our liking and killed off the ones that ate our sheep or posed a threat. No reason to feel really guilty, because any other animal species would have done the same thing in order to increase in number as much as possible. Thanks to the predators, this doesen't happen to species that are similar to donkeys lol

I don't know what game you are playing, but that statement is so anti-Scriptural, it makes you sound like a non-Christian.

So what gives?

As far as pets in heaven, the reason we have pets is for companionship. If we had pets in heaven we would be in danger of commiting idolatry because God would be the only companionship that we need in heaven.

I believe that there will be animals in heaven but they will serve a different purpose than pets :whistling:

As far as animals in heaven:

Rev 5:13 says And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, "To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, {be} blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever."

This is a picture of heaven from John's Revelation. It looks like all the animals will be there, too, praising Him.

Isaiah speaks of the lion laying down with the lamb, of children being able to play with cobras. Not only will there be animals in heaven but the Gen. 3 curse will have been lifted from them.

When God destroyed all flesh from the earth in the flood, He saved 8 people alive AND every species of animal. When He made the proimise with the rainbow He made it to the animals as well:

Gen 9:9

"Now behold, I Myself do establish My covenant with you, and with your descendants after you; and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you; of all that comes out of the ark, even every beast of the earth.

Romans 8:20

For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

Also consider the sparrows:

Luke 12:6 Are not five sparrows sold for two cents? {Yet} not one of them is forgotten before God.

It sounds like animals and people will have a very good relationship but I still believe we will not be keeping any as pets :)

I think it will be more like the Garden of Eden, where the animals weren't necessarily pets but that Adam was a steward and keeper and all lived in harmony without fear, death, killing, etc.

Hold on all ya'll.

I pose a question. No I make a statement. There was a rebellion and there was a fall. The rebellion took place in eternity past, the fall in the Garden of Eden. At that time all of the Earth fell under the curse of the fallen state. So, let's not state something that we really have no knowledge of, in that we were not present at that time. How do we know for sure what the Father intended for the animal kingdom? All we have to go on is what the Word tells us. At that time Adam (man) had a higher calling from the Creator to care and protect the animal part of the creation, but I quess the fruit in Eve's hand looked better to him that what God had ordained him to. And that's when I'd say the fall turned into another rebellion in the human creation. The higher up, (I promise) the further the fall. Man wasn't as high up as the angelic beings. Why the Father loved us so much, I will never know, unless He reveals it to me.

Let's take the book of Jonah. Jonah said to the Almighty, that he knew, that God was merciful and that's why he didn't want to preach to (I don't know how to spell this, but) Niniveh (that's not right, oh well you know). God told him that there were so many persons in that place that did not know their right hand from their left (in other words, children), and not to mention the cattle that he loved. Wow!!! You know when the people started to fast that the king also required that the cattle fast also.

Things are not always what they seem. We are not God. Maybe we should rephrase "our pets" into let's say, the beings that the Creator so blessed us with on this earth to know. Maybe "death" will not separate us from them either. My inkling is that they will be there to fellowship with us, Praise God!!! neb. I love you, .......jmh137

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
