I wasn't sure which forum to post these questions in. I hope I can get some answers.

It is written that in the beginning there was Adam and Eve. Once they were cast out of the garden of Eden they had Cain and Able. Cain killed Able and Cain was sent away. Cain went out into the world and found a wife and stared his own family. My question is this. Were did these other people come from?

Another question I've always had is where do the dinosaurs fit in? For this one I figured that they exsisted during one or two of the days God created the earth. As we know already one day to us could have been millions of years to God.

I know where my faith lies and I don't want it to seem like I am questioning God. I would just like to better understand and be able to answer the same questions when I am asked.

There are some other threads about this same topic, but I'll answer one question for you.

Cain married his sister as his wife.

It's the only explanation for it.

here it is. because of sinGod condemns incest now for our best interest because of the greater possibility of disease and mental and physical abnormalities. but back when the world was "brand new" sin did not run as rampant so cain was able to marry his sister. but now over these years since adam and eve and cain and every one, sin has become so rampant that incest has become a sin

Hi and welcome to worthy Lea-Anne.

Adam and Eve lived a long time. During that time, they produced many children, altho the bible only mentions 3 by name. Given how they were populating the earth, Im sure the Lord could easily have given Eve multiple children per pregnancy. One of those things we wont know for sure until heaven. Cain married his sister.

Have you read Job? There are verses in there that describe an animal that sounds like a dinosaur. There are other passages too, but this one is my favorite. The bible is a book that tells us Gods plan for the redemption of mankind. Dinosaurs, while His creation, are not important to that plan.

Job 40:15 Now behold behemoth, which I made along with you; he eats grass like an ox;

Job 40:16 see, now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the muscles of his belly.

Job 40:17 He hangs his tail like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are knit together.

Job 40:18 His bones are like tubes of bronze; his bones are like bars of iron.

Job 40:19 He is the first of the ways of God; his Maker brings near his sword.

Job 40:20 For the mountains yield food for him, and all the beasts of the field play there.

Job 40:21 He lies under the lotus, in the hiding place of the reed and the marsh.

Job 40:22 The lotus trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook surround him.

Job 40:23 Behold, though a flood presses, he does not run away; he feels safe even if Jordan swells up to his mouth.

Job 40:24 Shall any take him before his eyes, or pierce through his nose with cords?

I hope this helps. Please feel free to ask more questions.

Here is my take and its my own beliefs on this matter and it differs from both of your previous posters. There is a scripture that passes my at the moment. I am at work and unable to look it up but maybe someone else can ..... The jist of the passage and its in the new testiment is that the bible in and of itself is not all that has happened but it is all that is neccisary for our salvation. The bible is not the full and complete history of man it is simply the word of god , those words and truths needed for our salvation.

Someone above said that even though it doesnt say it Eve possibly had many other children. Its also possible that after or before Adam and Eve were tossed from the Garden that god created additional men on earth. Theres no scripture to support this or contradict it except that as I stated above the bible is not EVERTHING that happened its mearly what we need for our salvation.

What does this tell us? Who ever the mark was intended to be fore, and who ever cain eventually marrys its irrelivent to your or my salvation through christ jesus.

Oh yeah and as for the Dinosaurs......theres alot of specualtion on that regarding what you said that the time during the seven days could of been alot longer each day......no one knows for sure.....but again if its not in the bible most likely its not direly important to our spirital salvation. And a little bread crumb for those who want to look into dinosaurs...you should do some studies on the Komodo Dragons on the Komodo Islands. (??Spelling??)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
