I would say pray until the Lord releases you from it.

Just my two cents.

I agree with all the advice given here.

My only advice:

PRAY PRAY PRAY

The Father God wants us to be close to Him. The only way to do that is to open your heart and speak to Him. He is there waiting for you.

Isnt that wonderful? ! ! ! I encourage you to pray as often as you need to

(PS-- :emot-hug: Still praying for you dear!)

Your Sister in Christ

I didn't see any one say to thank HIM for the answer.

Isa 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

1Jo 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

1Jo 5:15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Or to praise HIM.

For HE is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Eph 3:21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

You're all saying that it's good to pray, but that God's response won't be what you expect - God's gonna do his own thing anyway. And what if the other side are praying harder. Who will God listen to then?

And I still don't get it. Doesn't God know what we want, what we think, what we need, without us having to continually nag at him?

What is the purpose of prayer? Is it to tell God I want I want? Or is it to communicate with Him, and to learn His will for us? Prayer helps us in our relationship with Him. Prayer isnt nagging God at all. He already knows our needs.

I am in a similar situation and was glad to see all these responses regarding prayer. Thanks for the encouragement!

One person I listen to defines prayer as God's way of involving us in what He is already doing.

Forgive my confusion about prayer, but I think it's becoming clear in my old befuddled brain.
