Beats the heck out of me......you can repent as long as you are breathing I would think...

Until you've repented of all the bad stuff, at which time you might not want to repent anymore.

I say it over and over and over again - WE HAVE ALL SINNED, but we don't have to continue sinning. The Lord told us to repent (Matt 4:17) and that we have to be perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect (Matt 5:48).

Please explain 1John1:8-10.

Should we Change Romans...... “ By Grace you are saved, through REPENTANCE , lest any man should boast”

we are counted “ perfect” or “ righteous” when we believe the Gospel.

As I say over and over and over again, we've all sinned. The Lord has commanded us to stop (Matt 4:17).

We have all sinned and, therefore, needed the Lord's salvation, but if we repent of our sin, then the Lord can stop having to save us.

Not that we have sinned but that we are sinning and those who imagine they can stop sinning are deluding themselves to the point that they do not know Jesus.

To know Jesus and sinning. (can anyone show those verse please?) , OR, to know Jesus and..

1 John 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

1 John 2:10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

1 John 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

3 John 1:11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

It's not repentance only, but Peter said to...

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
[39] For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

BB..............................receiving the gift of the HOLY GHOST is not damnation .

In fact lets all hear the biblical version ofgrace one more time .   For the grace of GOD that brings salvation has appeared to all

TEACHING US to DENY , not accept and be defeated by sin ,  BUT TO DENY ungodliness and wordly lusts

to be living soberly , righteously and godly in this present world as we await the promise of His coming .

Now BB,    let all who name the name of Christ depart from inquity .  IN fact , let not these things be even named ONCE among you as becometh saints .

AND the CURE .   FOR IF you will follow the SPIRIT you WILL NOT fulfill the lusts of the flesh .

BB,    preach the cure man .   Preach the cure to sin .
