It is fornication unless there is an actual commitment. Fornication is among the sins Paul says will keep you out of the kingdom of God. It is serious, but it is not automatically a marriage. In this world we recognize a marriage that has been performed by a Judge or a Pastor. That makes the marriage legal. There are many today who move in together. That is not a legal marriage. For mutal support, encouragement and to raise their children. Any arrangem ent that does not include this either as reality or as the intent is not a marriage.
