The above steps take time. Your body needs to adjust to a lesser amount of nicotine.

Miss, I seem to recall somewhere in this thread, that at one time you also had a weakness in this area, if memory serves me. If so, this how you were able to overcome?

These patches are making me feel nervous but I don’t want to take it off because then I just want to smoke. Pray for me!

That head chief was smoking opium. That is a very different class drug than smoking cigarettes.

Those were the Chinese Indians! ?

I just drank 2 big cups to wake up in the morning, and that was 1/4 strength.  But I may go back to drinking my Earl Gray during the winter when something hot is mighty good.  Right now I have found a bottled water that I like and that has taken the place.  It is still a cheap WalMart brand but it works.

Going to the subject of drinking water is a whole different and complicated topic. I only drink purified water that has been purified by reverse osmosis. Most of the bottled drinking waters that are in the grocery stores are no better than drinking tap water. I also cook with only my purified water and I live on a well. The public drinking water is contaminated and they have to put a very large amount of chlorine in the water to make it so the human can consume it. In the past I have ran water for a bath and the bathtub smelled like a swimming pool. There have been large areas of Oregon and Washington that they have tested the water and found it was contaminated. They have asked everyone to boil their water until it is safe. Parents have demanded that the school drinking water be tested and they have found it contaminated so the whole school districts have to drink bottled water until it is safe. The authorities are not telling us just how contaminated our drinking water is.

It was more than likely a wild strain of hemp. Pretty common, even before the settlers arrived here. ;)

Sometimes yes and sometimes they were smoking opium.

I have not overcome it. I still smoke. With much prayer and guidance from God. I don't smoke that much but have found it not successful to quit altogether. The research has shown that it is much easier for the male to stop smoking than the female and they do not know why.

Yes, it is here too. Once we had tap that was direct snow melt from the beautiful Sierra Mountains. Pure, sweet, and oh so refreshing. Now it's so heavily chlorinated, you could wash your clothes in it without adding bleach!

Tahiti isn’t near Temecula. I took the patch off and am feeling better. Maybe it’s too strong.
