Is the King James Version Bible the Perfect Word of God.

If you come to the conclusion that the The KJV is the perfect Word of God, you will gain more comfort, trust and confidence in the truth that the Bible means exactly what it says.

Based upon what? So far all I'm seeing is your feelings. See this is how this discussion works. The holy spirit told me that the ESV was God's holy word, all others including the KJV are impure. And if you listen to the holy Spirit to you will see that.

What you have, is nothing more then your opinion. No hard facts. And what about translations in other languages, are they somehow bad because they're not written in ancient English?

Psalm 12:6-7 King James Version (KJV)

⁶ The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

⁷ Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

No one's arguing the words of the Lord is pure. But, there is nowhere that says thou shalt only use the KJV. I don't recall Matthew specifying that Jesus quoted the KJV.

All translations differ. In minor and major ways. According to Psalms 12 6-7 There has to be a perfect Bible. I respect if you don’t think it’s the KJV.

The Easter verse is clearly not an error as I explain previously

Acts 12:1-4 King James Version (KJV)

12 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.

2 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.

3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)

4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forthto the people.

 

According to verse 3 Herod arrests Peter during the Days of Unleavened Bread! Which is always after Passover and it last 7 days.

So when we get to verse 4 it’s impossible for the word Passover to be correct.

Actually that's not what Psalms is saying, not at all.

And I never said it was a bad translation, or even in error. What I said was, it wasn't the only good solid translation. However, if you want an error look at the 10 commandments. Where it says "thou shalt not kill" that's actually a translation error. It actually translates better as "thou shalt not murder".

Minor difference, but there is a difference in meaning.

I should also point out, that your using the modern KJV, the one in the 1700s. That's not even a translation, it's a transliteration. If you want to call yourself a true purist you need to use the 1611
