Perhaps there are two kinds of people in the world. The first would be those who are trying to obey the Lord's commandments. Hopefully everybody here is in this category.

And the other group is those who develop the skill of “sucking up” to the “right people.” These are the troublemakers.

For those of you who would argue that we don’t have to obey the Lord’s commandments, remember what Jesus said: “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” John 14:15 RSV

“You know the commandments: `Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother.'" Luke 18:20 RSV

those are not Jesus's commandments.....   he gave us two basically....   and those two are much more encompassing than those you mention.    If you are going to follow those then why not the following verses that tell us to sell all that we have and give to the poor....   do we do that also...

This was a direct quote of Jesus Christ.

Of the three choices you provide, I would attempt to be a sheep. Aren't goats and wolves the same group?

who was he speaking to and when...  and am I expected to sell everything I have and give to the poor?     An I expected to hold to the 4th commandment about not doing any work on the Sabbath when Jesus didn't do that himself???

Read the last half of Matthew chapter 25 and look at the reasons he said he was sending people to hell over and tell me which of the ten commandments that those people broke..

wasn't my question but no they would not be the same.  Maybe a sub group if one wanted to be technical...  wolves would be a special group of goats but still need to be separated.....    but could also be misinformed sheep that hurt other sheep unintentionally.

Understanding this is a generic talk not speaking of any of us in particular.

It was a direct quote that answered the question you asked.
