I think the account in Genesis shows clearly that Adam chose to eat the fruit, knowing he would disobeying the Lord in doing so It could be that Adam didn't want to be separated from Eve and didn't want her to be alone in her punishment - so he chose to wilfully sin and eat the fruit in order to share her fate - meaning perhaps that he loved Eve more than he loved God. It's possible that only women went to the tomb at first because they may have considered harmless by the authorities. However, the real depravity came in Gen 6. That is what the ancients thought and the early church. The principalities etc. have done a great job of white washing this out of our teachings. The Bible is the inspired word of God.
